LOl, of course not, why would they!? Have you tried the land department as they are the ones who would have issued the Title Deed. My knowledge is the construction side, so not entirely sure of the differences when it comes to residential reonovations/alterations. I will make a few calls for you, and let you know when I have more info.

An Affection Plan is an official site plot plan issued by the government with survey coordinates delineating the boundary. You are required to submit this, along with all the other required documentation, to Dubai Civil Defence when applying to make any major/structural changes to an existing site/property in the UAE. Emaar "should" be the ones to provide you with this if you did not receive it with your original handover documents. This is in theory what should happen, but in Dubai that is not always the case.....Good luck!! Let me know how it goes and I can ask around if you need more assistance. HTH

DS is having an assesment for FS2 on Monday at the Raffles South Campus. We did a tour yesterday and was told that they have a number of spaces available. The fee is on the high side, IMHO, at AED1000, but is deducted from the fees apparently if you are offered and accept a place. I had to fill out the online application before they would give me a time for the assesment. HTH

I took it for a couple of months before bed as I was suffering from really bad anxiety/stress due to my horrible job ;-). I had to have a seperate prescription that is written/stamped on a Dubai Municipality script. As I was travelling constantly for my job, I carried a copy of the DM scrip in my toiletries case with the xanax. I was never stopped/questioned and usually had both in my carry on case, but was warned that I needed to have it with me if I was coming through customs with the Xanax. I certainly would not take the risk of clearing customs with a controlled substance that I did not have a valid perscription for.

We used a company that was recommended by our real estate agent and they did a really good job. They actually taped, protected and cleaned up after themselves! I supplied the paint as I wanted custom colours and they did the rest! They charged (I think) 2500 for a 3 bed plus maids in Umm Sequim You can call Archie on either 0506537867 or 0502439378 HTH

Kacie is going to have a sleepover tonight, so hopefully that goes well!! I am absolutely in love with this pup. Now we just need to make sure that she doesn't bark at DH too much when he gets home tonight;)

So Kacie is here with us for a visit today. So far the girls are doing really well and getting along even better than they have the first 2 times that we met!! Kacie is the most gorgeous little thing you could ever imagine.....hopefully we can have a sleepover on the weekend and see how that goes. At this point in time everything is looking really positive.....Hopefully we have found a solution here :)

Miss Balamory I have a couple of Expedit bookcases( one is 4x4 the other is 2x4), a children's bunk bed, one sideboard kitchen unit and a chest of drawers. Also a few baby things. And some books! Had a couple of garage sales and NOBODY got any books- mostly adults books but a few children ones! I'd like to give the books away to a library or something like that? Is it possible? TBH, I don't know how much luck you are going to have finding one here. We have one, but brought her from Canada. The only other person that I know of that has one is our real estate agent and again she brought hers from the US. We have recently found/adopted a saluki that turned up at our villa after being abandoned by her previous owners. I contacted K9 on the off chance they might have space for her ( as we have 2 females both wanting to be the dominant one) and was told they have over 100 dogs at the kennel and another 30 on a waitlist. I was told if she was a small breed then she would go quickly, so you'll probably have to arrange to meet with them and then be placed on a waitlist. As WaxMuch stated, why not get in touch with k9/Dubai Municipality etc etc. and adopt a dog that [b'>really[/b'>[u'>[/u'> needs a home.... <em>edited by 4sidekicks on 28/03/2011</em>

Where are you looking? Our old villa is for rent still, but only has 4 beds. The real estate agent that we used for our new place was great. If you want I can give you her number, or can ask her if she can recommend anyone in the area that you are looking in.

4sidekicks, where do you find MAKEUP FOREVER HD Microperfecting Primer in Dubai? thanks I bought it the Paris Gallery in Town Centre on Beach Rd. (next to Mercato). They also carry MAKEUP FOREVER at Sephora, but as I mentioned earlier there is a woman who works at this location who is great. HTH

I have used the following primers which are all water-based (not silicone): 1. Guerlain meteorites primer 2. Kanebo Sensai Smoothing Water Make-Up Base 3. MAKEUP FOREVER HD Microperfecting Primer I like all three, but if I had to choose one it would be the MAKEUP FOREVER one in neutral. The woman at the MAKEUP FOREVER counter at the Paris Gallery on beach rd is really fantastic btw.

UPDATE: Sue, thank you so much for providing the link!! I have tracked down the (previous) owner and he is currently out of the country (home tomorrow afternoon appareantly ;-). He had re-homed the dog about a year ago and had recently heard that the couple that had taken her had lost their jobs....... I think we all know the rest of the details!! Nobbles, if only it were that simple! There is no centralised database in the UAE, so our vet is calling around to the other vets to see if anyone has any record of her. Just spoke with Jumeirah Vets and they have no record of her, so will have to keep on searching!

UPDATE: We have taken her to our vet and she is microchipped, however they have not been able to track down the owners. I have contacted K9 but they are full. I have placed an ad on Dubizzle as well. We have found a saluki cross which has been sleeping in our neighbours garage for the past couple of days. She is medium sized, white with light brown patches with brown eyes. She is wearing an old green collar which has no id on it. She is friendly but incredibly timid. Our alpha female terrier is not too impressed with this other interloper at the moment! My DH and I also joke around about "its on me this time honey" We both work We both bring in the same amount of money We share a joint account Our money is our money... it really just depends on who actually has cash on them at the time :) We are exactly the same. There have been times when either of us have had more/less money, but have always had a joint account. Large purchases are discussed but are usually for "us" i.e. something for the house, DS, car, new TV etc. We both earn roughly the same (me more!) but it all goes into the same place and is equally ours. I have a bonus tied to my yearly target and again, when I receive that it will be ours. <em>edited by 4sidekicks on 11/01/2011</em>

"Painless", lol......it is relatively new product for them (just had it last month and cannot remember what it is called), not exactly painless, but it is much better than the other wax they used before. The process take a little longer and the skin was much smoother afterwards....regrowth seems to be about the same....any more info!? lol :-)

the lady at dubai mall sisters lounge is a legend - im afraid i cant remember how much i pay as i usually have a pedicure or something after, but its a lot cheaper than the uk thats for sure. im sure they have a price list on the website I go to Sisters at Village Mall and the woman there is fantastic! It is 120 for the regular wax and 150 for the new "painless" wax. The number is 04 3420787 and I see Lily for my waxing. HTH.
