Finally I am helpful and can answer rather than ask a question!! I had my medical last thursday. I checked on-line at www.moi.gov.qa and go into residents gateway, click the area about on-line queries and you put in visa no and husbands id no, it told me I could go for fingerprints. went yesterday at 4.10pm, nobody there and the two ladies doing fingerprints don't speak and as my daughter says are "a bit scary" but sucess!! They told us to go to immigration in 3 days (Thursday) I'll let you know, thinking of having party if it comes through, think its a milestone!!!

I was actually trying to buy a fitted sheet today! 200 X 230 and absolutely no joy. The largest in Debenhams is 200 X 200 they called it Emperor. I did manage to get one since I got here in Giant but its not great quality. Think a trip home is in order to stock up!! Incidentally I've also tried Zara, Home centre and a few others without much luck.

Hi Question, I arrived 22 dec and have a Family residence visa, intend going for medical next week but have just read the stamp on my passport that I should have presented myself to 'specialist services' within seven working days from entry.... Think I'm a bit late! Any advice would be helpful. Also I have my blood group on a card (from pregnacies all those years ago..) Is that sufficient and do I need blood type for 14yr old daughter?? I'm sure you're all sick of answering these questions but I've searched hukoomi etc and cannot find answers. Tks.

No Sega, mu husband had put up a notice in work and someone called. We were planning a run to the ticket office tomorrow at 1pm anyway but sheer luck we got these ones. Enjoy!

Aw Many Thanks, Hope you're enjoying it. We'll be back again tomorrow and still checking the ticket desk every day for more tickets. A friend said sometimes they release extra tickets each day, we wait and see. Enjoy the Tennis. Hope the babysitter works out!:)

Hi Welcome to Doha (I've been here two weeks!!) I saw under sink water filters in all shapes and sizes in Hypermarket Al Markhiya near TV roundabout. Its a different section from Food on the 1st floor. Hope that helps.

Hi Just back from 11k walk on the Corniche... Fireworks were absolutely lovely no idea what for perhaps the Tennis or the arrival of the Asia cup today??? They didn't last very long though.
