We receive nothing, and would never expect a thing, A phone call is usually exchanged on birthdays. My children have never ever questioned why and love their grand parents to pieces! Our pare nts love the grand children to bits too!

The cavalli club is excellent for dinner (it's quiet) then in builds up to a great dancing night out and you have the table for the rest of the night!

Cheese and ham sandwich on rye bread, or peanut butter, or liver pate. Apple, lemon tea. That was it. Kids have a cheese sandwich, apple, yogurt, and a sweet _ I spoil them.

It's very appropriate, I can only think it's a pg 13 as captain haddock likes to have a drink! There is nothing in there to scare or offend, there is no 'toilet humor'. It's lovely .

I took my 2, they loved it - it's also the first kids movie that I have seen in a long while that has no innuendos or rude words in it! Highly recommend it.

We make ours with cardamom added to the (very finely ground) coffee. However we differ to Birchy and cook the cofee slowly over a low hwat and never ever allow the coffee to boil. The coffee isn't filtered as we tell each others fortunes with the coffee leaves.

We bought a topper mattress from debenhams which we stick on top of the sofa bed when unfolded which works out very comfortable. We store the mattress behind the sofa when not in use.

I'm back using reading glasses 18 months after having LASIK. I was given the option to have one eye slightly underdone so that I wouldn't need reading glasses but opted to have both the same.

I would be so happy if my kids got that and twice a week would be even better. The schools here are very mindful about dehydration and heat exhaustion, and am sure in the hottest times they would be indoors - the pe teachers themselves wouldn't be able to hack it! However if your dd is not a sporty type, than yesit will be difficult for her, just like it's difficult for my DS to sit through a double maths lesson.

The year book we received yesterday is beautiful, apart from the one class page that seems to have been distorted, the children may find it funny, they may have all agreed to it, I would think the only people really upset would be the parents of the children involved. Let them know so it doesn't happen again next year.

Ask your packers not to be specific (ornaments or statue should do) on the packing list and you will be alright. If the items are to do with your own religion then they will be accepted. We unfortunately had a beautiful large piece of art confiscated as it was not from our faith.

My oh is Lebanese too - but we pulled the lo out after a year, we were friendly with his teacher and she advised us to pull him out as well - he has a lovely character that would have been quo shed in that school. Too many exams, no sports and no interaction allowed with the teachers as we have to trust that they are doing a good job. The hour of French a day was good though.

Most kids turn up wearing white dresses with gold belts - togas are made out of sheets or slashed pillow cases! It's a very easy one. If your lo is a girl give her cleopatra eyes. Hope that helps a bit.

The Beach bar and grill in the one and only Palace is beautiful, and has great steaks, seafood, and you can sit on their lovely terrace, and it's about 5 mins drive from madinat.

If you usually wear an abaya wear one - if not then wear a suit - maybe have a scarf in your bag in case when you get there you feel you need to cover up. Good luck!

I completely lose my rag whenever I'm in zaks - I've had trousers made especially and couldn't make myself buy them as they were the worst quality ever. . We've complained to the school and they shrug and say they know the uniforms are rubbish but can't do anything about it. I buy what I can from m&s and let my kids break a few rules! I accept 2nd hand uniform nowadays so it doesn't make me feel so bad!
