Do you all have any weird requirements? I like to see pilot inspecting plane beforehand. Pilot should be male and not female. Airlines such as Qatar/Emirates/FlyDUbai/AirArabia are preferred (more money for maintenance). If all of that is in place then things are *slightly* better (please do not squash any of these). Would a doc prescribe valium for this? (Seriously?) Well I feel a bit 'normal' after reading all these posts. Like you Miss B they are my preferred Airlines, nothing from the third world either even if it's half the price. If I can recall an airline crashing then I won't fly them. I like to hear the pilot at the beginning (or anytime for reassurance really) and I prefer him to speak with a British, Canadian, Australian, (western English) accent although they don't say much these days. The slightest noise sets me off and I generally have sweaty palms most of the way used to be just take off and landing but it's getting worse. I am just counting the minutes until we're on the ground safely! All completely illogical/crazy I know. Is there something you can take to calm you/help you sleep? Dubai-Australia in the summer, can't wait!

I need to renew my daughter's passport. How long does it take to Germany and back? I heard it takes 12 weeks which is too long. Do they send it registered mail as the post service here is terrible and we have lost so many parcels.

Just back from the Ranches community centre and the lady who runs that lovely little stall was putting up signs saying Royal Wedding Accessories would be arriving on Sunday. She told me they would have bunting, flags and other bits and bobs if anyone is still looking. They also have a stall in the Meadows now. Not sure what they have there but worth a look if you're passing.

Actually, padding isn't [i'>all[/i'> bad. DD wears VERY LIGHTLY padded bras; not to make her boobs look bigger (and the bras don't), but to smooth her silhouette. She's at the stage where her developing chest is quite noticeable (in a sticky-outty kind of way) and a light padding makes her boobs look more like small, smooth round bumps and less like coat pegs. ok for adolescents but not pre-pubescent girls. I wear slightly padded bras to cover my chapel hat pegs!

Have to wonder about the parents who buy these things. However, I hate it when people say it's asking for trouble because it sends the message that men can't be held responsible for their actions. It's about time they were blamed not the females for their clothes. Well she was wearing a short skirt etc. etc. and I can't control myself, it's just wrong. BTW 16 year olds going to parties will find a way to get out wearing what they want, that's nothing new!

You could make your own burgers and serve without the bun to those that are intolerant. I know one boy who does that.

They are all over so could be anywhere and they come out in numbers so don't want to make them angry. Did you get someone in to move it?

Our grass has bees or wasps hovering over it all the time and in the plants so many that the kids don't want to play out. We can't see a nest. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do.

Have an HP 3 in one printer, scanner, copier and loathe it. Any recommendations for a similar machine that is easy to use and doesn't need coaxing every time would be greatly appreciated.

Good Jam. I buy St Dalfours 100% jam as I don't like the ones loaded with sugar. What brand do you buy shaks? Me too Cyclone. Thought this might be off the back of my Andrex thread! Funny how things start isn't it. Okay, I won't skimp on food and wine, or coffee. You are what you eat and I won't drink plonk! Flying-I won't fly on a cheaper ticket if I don't think the airline is safe! I am a terrible flyer.

I make Nigella's and have used the tubs of spreadable cream cheese as they didn't have the block and it was perfect. It's very simple and delicious.

That's over one pound a roll ladies! Do your husbands get an allowance for this extravagance? Bought some Bouquet Sanita (?) yesterday which seems pretty good, better than my regular Kleenex! Didn't think I'd be writing a thread about loo roll but I felt I had to know!

We do it through May but car in June, 5-10 minutes each way. Parking is a nightmare and you can end up walking almost as far to the car.

I did the vintage watch thing for my hubby's 40th last year - a Rolex made the same year he was born - he was blown away. I got it from a great company in London who Fedexed it over within a few days vintagewatchcompany dot com. Their after sales service is excellent as well, I would definitely recommend this. lovely idea but how much would something like that cost?

Thanks JJ. Some of the gear is still double the price of Winners but obviously better value if it's the real thing!
