In a word no, diet is the most important part of any weight loss plan change your diet and do lots of walking. If you try to exercise while you are overweight it will turn to muscle and will bulk you up, loose the weight through diet and then join a gym. Good luck i know this quote is old but the thread has been revived- is this true?? so if very overweight you should just do cardio with the diet? NOT weights or nautilis type machines? sorry if diverting

I hope not. I feel my time in back in my home country is so short as it is in the Summer. Sigh I know it is a personal reason not an academic one edited by blondie007 on 02/04/2013

Nope... Just use WIS as an example ... I would rather physically visit the schools, speak to the headteacher and get a feel for the school first .. For me Class size is the most important thing.I refuse to put my child in a school where the class size is over 32. why WIS as an example? I am sincerely asking as this is an option right now to continue

I heard there is a serum out by Kerastase in a gold bottle that you massage into your wet scalp after washing. Its pricey but has anyone tried it? The salon gave it rave reviews but I am curious to hear from others. apparently it works from the root. I have the Blu filter and have not noticed much of a difference in myself but I do see a difference in my toddler daughters. thier skin is not as dry as before and the scalp is not peeling. I use all the Kerastase products and avoid shop bought ones like the plague as they contain a similar ingredient to soap which dries my hair terribly. I have very fine hair and never thought i ever shed alot but recently i have seen more in the shower and on the floor! The serum is pricey and i used it when i had my extensions it however it lasted for forever I think L'oreal make a cheaper version ( Only seen it in UK though) and it was around 10GBP to buy Is the L'Oreal one in a clear gold serum bottle or a black pump? Just saw today 2 new lines at Choitrims

Thank you for the replies. As mentioned I have used them but a few years back. I don't mind if they cost a bit more as long as they remove the harmful elements thoroughly. It is a very important service to me and after seeing the spam and manner in which it was written I became concerned. To drag old threads up and lie under the guise as a satisfied customer and blatant advertising made me a bit put off. Just reaked desperation and dishonesty. I was wondering if something had happened or management changed and the level of service and quality dropped. Thank you for the response

I thought so too. I used them a few years ago and my only complaint was they broke something and could not reimburse except for a free bottle of cleaner. I was going to use them again but am hesitant after all the spam they posted this afternoon on here(which has been deleted) someone obviously from there opened a profile and pulled up old threads about air cons and even asthma. In a poorly written structure they posted how happy they were with the service and there is a coupon for a free consult. I lose confidance in a company that feels the need or desperation to do this on a forum and has to lie. Hence why I was wondering what has lead them to this?

Honestly we don't know who else to use now but if the business needs to come on here and lie and drag up old threads I have lost confidence in them Something is going on there

"The reason that I said that I wanted my children to believe in themselves is as they have approached puberty I have noticed how easily 'knocked' they are by small things, but mostly by tactless teachers."" This really is the core now more than ever. I sound like an old lady but the world is so much different than when i was younger. Social media is also a culprit. My children are too young so i dont have personal experience but I have seen some of my friend's teens completely shattered over "facebook bullying" resulting in extremly low self-esteem. Without that confidance all others hopes dont stand a chance

I went for a consult (500AED) at the time and was told to lose more weight. the more you lose the better as the "flap" will get lower. Many of the same names come up on here if you type "tummy tuck" under search. Off the top of my head I THINK Dr.Tahir, a female Emirati DR, Khan,,,, I have not had it yet but if you do a search there are ladies that have. Also make sure you have everything sorted for a possibly up to a month after the surgery. you make have a hard time doing everything you did before for a month

I was hollored at also and I was not even on the grass! I guess the wat the road was winding may have made it appear that way from a distance. Once one started reprimending me several all came at me scaring my toddler. When the origional man came close and realized i was not even on the grass he did not even apolagize- just repeated to stay off. I guess they need to be assertive because I did see other children running through the leveled flowers and I know that this is a unique place here. I am happy to see such a display here and will just chaulk it up as others have also stated that actions of the few have made them feel the need to more agressive in protecting the gardens

Every year I do a 3-7 week USA roadtrip. I have dont the horizontal/ vertical rountes- north , south, west, east you name it and sometimes different guests come with our family And ALL agree that the American West is by far the most spectacular in terms of scenery and not to be missed! Just breathtaking! you even can use NatGeo's highway and roadside guides - the scernery is nonstop, NOT monotomous. can you not do a roundtrip out of Texas? car rental will even be cheaper if returned to the same place

When inlaws have passed on I have gone to a home where it is all women. Everyone is covered when I have gone and there has been a lot of food there. None of them mentioned or discussed going to any type of service. When I first went to one I did ask only because I was unaware and was told women do not participate in the service/rituals.

I ahve 2 rather large white rabbits that have a two-level bunny condo that they stay in....most of the day they run free in the back though. My girls and i were talking about getting guinea's but we have no experience with them. I assumed they stayed in the house if alone and was wondering if they also would roam free in the yard? If they do not mix well with rabbits I am unsure if our home is best for them. I read they were child friendly and we have a lot of love here. But i would not want them in danger if the rabbits are an issue

Forgive me but by LD would that be in the same arena as "special needs"?? Only asking because I have heard both terms used in same situations. One of my children is special needs and was offered a place at Wellington International. Though I can't comment on how it is because she has not started I was impressed with how warm and open they were when discussing her needs - I can not say the same about other schools we tried

I can only offer a few opinions I heard - that is was not highly academic in the younger years. the focus is different than BC where reading and phonics are more emphasized. When one of them transferred her child after year 1 to a US curriculum he was very behind. maybe some other parents more familiar with IB can offer you better advice on this but I noticed you bumped it up so I am sharing what I heard

I was recently attending an activity at a school (STAR) which neither of my children attend. I was speaking with a group of parents there and all of them said they sent thier children to this school because they could not get in anywhere else due to the long waitlists. This was going back a few years ago. The classes were VERY small, warm, and caring. They have been thrilled with this school. However they said it now has waitlists and classes will expand. My point being sometimes it works out for the better in terms of class size and enviroment.

Anon- about how much did your friend need to lose? I was looking to avoid that type of surgery but am a little interested. As for medication I was interested in appetite supressants along of course with a program Dentro-just curious why exercise is added later? is that because weightloss is mostly achieved thru diet? thank you both
