Sorry I forgot to also recommend the terrace apartments, I have some friends who live in them and they are lovely. They are huge! Defo worth a look.

I live in an apartment on the Green Comm East and have been waiting for prices to become this low for over 2 years! The townhouses that I have looked at for 170k have been horrible - very bad inside with all tiles broken, filthy and the garden a complete disaster - I would rather stay put for now. Here's hoping the prices do come down but I have heard there is a waiting list for the GCE.

Can't help with Grand Hyatt. We stayed at the Intercontinental at Jimbaran and would defo recommend it. It is right on the beach and has lovely large grounds with lots of pools. The hotel has a lovely Balinese feel to it. My daughter loved the kids club. The BBQ's on the beach in the evening were fabulous with lots of different restaurants to try.

Thanks for that Asti. I just used your recommendation and received hot food very quickly. I live in the Green Community and was pleased to see quite a few places deliver here.

I'm also having problems trying to download first. At least I know I am not alone! Du are not my provider but am guessing that the cable is shared?

Is anyone else having problems with ITV and BBC iplayer? I have given up trying to watch anything at the moment as it keeps freezing. They both used to work most of the time before. I've been having the problem for nearly 1 week now.

Aaagh, where is Dr Schmidt going? He is my daughter's ENT. We are due to see him in the next couple of weeks. I really like Dr Schmidt, he removed my daughter's ear grommets a couple of months ago, she had them inserted in another country. My daughters tonsils are also very large but Dr Schmidt said they didn't need any surgery. This is following some other doctors who questioned why they weren't removed when she had the grommets inserted (she did have her adenoids removed).

I'm going to give Olga a try. Bodabz I'm sorry it wasn't a great experience for you, but I'm a bit desperate and need to go to Festival City today anyway... Minxy I'm glad you had a good experience. I hope I will have one too! Thanks! Olga is based at their Green Community branch. edited by bodabz on 30/05/2011

I went once and will not be back, I also seen Olga and had highlights and a cut. It cost 750 dirhams. For this sort of money I would expect better service and more luxury surroundings. There is no proper waiting area, there were splashes of hair colour all over my forehead. I get the same done at another hairdresser and it only costs 475 dirhams and is a much better overall experience.

FB page doesn't load or it doesn't accept your login details? After I enter my log in details it doesn't load. My husband is also having the same problem. Have also tried logging in on my phone and have same problem. I seen some guys working with some cables outside and last time I saw them doing that I completely lost my internet connection and had to get Etisalat to come and fix it. Suppose all I want to know if it is only me having the problem?

I live in the Green Community, DIP. Last Wednesday there was a man going from house to house on the West Side. At least 3 houses reported him. Heard he was going in the maids rooms so sounds like he was looking for some one. make sure you keep your doors locked.

My little girl does this and is used to freak me out. I now realise that she grinds her teeth for a few months and then she has a loose tooth. The dentist said this is how they loosen them. Has your son lost his baby teeth yet?

I'm with FAMN on this one. I had the same problem with all my credit being eaten. I took out a plan from Etisalat, I went to the desk at MOE to arrange it. Now I have no problem and can use my phone properly. You are not tied into the plan, I renew it on a month by month basis. I have to make sure there is enough credit each month, if there isn't, the plan is automatically cancelled. Even my switching off the 3G etc, my credit was still being eaten. I kept a diary note each day of my credit, even when I had not used the phone, the credit was being scoffed! There is no point in having an Iphone if you can't use of the fun stuff on it. I have wifi at home but the phone used to drop off all the time. Now that I have the plan it doesn't do this anymore.

There is a new gym/core fitness studio which opened recently across from the Green Community (opposite Choitram's). I have been to fitness studio which is good and is much cheaper than Yoga Om in the Market Area. It is very reasonably priced, it works out at about 275 dirhams a month and the best part is that you do not need to take out a one year membership. There is a small joining fee but they sometimes have offers when they will waive it.

Hi My veneer cracked approx one year ago. I went to Nicholas and Asp at the Marina as I needed to have it fixed immediately! They were very good and bonded the broken bit. I then returned a few months later to get a new veneer. I have been to N&A a few times now. They are expensive but they are not at all pushy and only do the work that you need. I was very impressed with how quick and pain free getting the new veneer was. The bill was a bit painful but I did manage to claim half of it back on my insurance.
