Do you still have your old phone to put sim back in? Eventually when my husband gets home, yes. Hoping that will work but was hoping to contact her sooner. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Thanks TB, but no. I've searched my email and checked every one. Surgery closed at 18:00 and voicemail gives no emergency contact. I've was diligent about getting rid of old SMS's so no history on old phone. Can't understand why sim contacts saved on i-phone don't show up on Samsung with same sim but searched net and followed every instruction to no avail. I've been thorough....looked at every insurance claim, all my pregnancy paperwork from 3 years ago, all emails, etc.

no. nor on her business card or all the paperwork I've had from her for the past 3.5 years! She's the most lovely, caring, accessible Dr I know but I guess you need to be a patient to get the magic number. And unfortunately, I've gone and lost it!

I have been a patient of Dr Salihi for 3.5 years and urgently need to get in touch with her tonight. I have recently got a new Samsung phone and for some reason, even though it is the same SIM, numbers saved to the SIM when I had my I-phone do not show up on the new Samsung. Can anyone please provide her mobile? I will watch and reply as soon as I see it so you can delete your post. Thank you so much.

This is one of my favourites: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Crostini-with-Roasted-Garlic-Goat-Cheese-and-Apple-Chutney-102290 But to make it super easy, just buy any nice fruity chutney. All you have to do then is roast the garlic and make crostini (or buy). I put it all out and let guests assemble themselves. Very easy and it tastes fantastic.

Was going to say the same as Sarahlou....my husband's front and back bumper were both damaged very noticeably and his car passed registration. I pulled mine off twice in 2 days Those concrete separaters in the car parks grrr ( my fault really) Yes, that was our back bumper courtesy of my husband. I hate to admit how I damaged the front.....I was trying to teach my daughter who was late for school a lesson. I jumped in the car with my other child and as quickly as I could pulled out of the garage to pretend I was leaving her....reversing at speed straight into husband's car. Karma.

There are taxis outside Heathrow all the time, just get a cab No no no, can end up paying an arm and a leg! I've used exclusiveairports.com on a few occasions to and from Heathrow. I paid about £39 to W1 and I've been happy with their service. edited by MsKiki on 12/09/2013 Second this. Black cabs from Heathrow to central London are very expensive.

I'm afraid that unless things have changed in the last few months you are unlikely to get permission from them now. They clamped down on this and stopped all approvals a year or two ago. Ones that already have the approval from previously are more in demand because of this. Things change all the time so it would be worth giving Emaar a call to see if they are giving permissions again. Yes, this is my understanding. We have been looking to buy in AR and at least three estate agents have told us Emaar is no longer approving plans for outdoor structures, only internal improvements.

I did a lot of research on the Internet looking at what made top 10 lists in lots of publications. Several came up over and over again. I randomly bought two: -- Estée Lauder Daywear BB -- Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB (the original BB cream I believe) I prefer the Estée Lauder. It is more expensive (you can get Garnier in the supermarket) but it is much lighter texture, goes on very nicely and has a lovely scent. The Garnier, in my opinion, is heavier like a foundation.

We have used Dial A Tyre twice. They came very quickly. 04 339 4000 Tyres for one car were Dhs 700 each and for the other Dhs 750. On top of that they charged Dhs100 for service. They have Bridgestone all over the van and paperwork so should def have what you need.

Hi Nix. I have two kids at JESS and in my experience, they need: -- Lunchbox in any style -- Swim/PE bag in any style (they sell JESS branded ones if you want) -- JESS branded book bag. they sell ones you carry with handle or backpack style. In my experience the backpack style lasts longer and is more practical. It holds more, closes better and in the longterm as the kids grow they can carry it easier. -- I have always found white socks at Debenhams. They ask for all white sneakers but in reality, I have found them hard to find in Dubai sometimes. Mothercare often has them in smaller sizes. We are at JESS AR so I don't know about Jumeirah but certainly in AR, many kids sneakers are not all white. Hope that helps but let me know if you have any other questions.

All these sorts of character toys are so much more expensive here. You could look on eBay. We got lots of Barbie and Play Mobile stuff that way. Some sellers will post worldwide (for free) and even with postage charge it ends up cheaper than here. Here is one for instance: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/My-Little-Pony-Friendship-is-Magic-Lot-of-15-PCS-Figure-Style-Random-2-/200949375609?pt=TV_Movie_Character_Toys_US&hash=item2ec9842279#shId I have four My Little Pony DVDs you can have. No cases as given to me by friend. You would need an all region DVD player however, as they are all different regions (1, 2 and 4 I think). ETA: also try Dragonmart as they usually have character merchandise. edited by Catawba KSE on 04/08/2013

Not sure where you live but there is a great bike shop that does excellent and speedy repairs in Motor City/Sports City. Coming from AR go over the lights by Spinneys and make the first U turn and park. It is in that little block right there that has Better Homes at the front. Sorry I can't remember what it's called. Are you sure? I thought the new bike shop at Motor City was on the opposite side to Spinneys, a little further down at the end of the block where the Ducati shop is. Maybe there are two? There are two in Motor City. If you go through the light just past Spinneys on your left, Cycle Hub is on the right just past the kids' play center. Revolution Cycles is just a bit further down in the big building on the left.....the same one that houses Building Blocks nursery and House Hunters.

I need to go to Al Khaleej hospital in Al Ain tomorrow. I have no idea where it is. I have searched on the internet but get conflicting info (different streets, different PO Boxes.....). I believe it is in the Al Jimi area of Al Ain. Is anyone able to provide instructions how to get there (coming from Dubai so will be coming from Dubai/Al Ain road). Has anyone had any experience with this hospital they can share? Thank you very much in advance.

I took my dad to Khasab and he loved it. Our family stayed one night at the Golden Tulip, enjoyed the mountains and took in a dolphin cruise. Its not luxurious but you get to drive through more traditional places and the mountains are beautiful. is it worth to go there without a 4x4? You could definitely drive it without 4x4. Dhow cruise is great. Musandam really is beautiful and it is easy drive from Dubai.

You have to go and see Dr Suzanne Salihi then at The White House Clinic, she is so lovely and makes you feel so at ease! On Beach Road, just before DLC coming from Dubai Zoo way. Tel. 04 388 4449 You will be fine! Quick, simple Dr. Salihi is lovely. I saw her only yesterday. I have had some abnormal results and she has been so reassuring and thorough. Oh, maybe not then. Probably better to make it yourself. May have been bad luck so don't want to put anyone off.....I went there because I assumed they'd be the one place that would have corned beef and so was very excited to see it. Interested to know whether I was the only one with a bad experience and everyone else was successful....

Just for info, saw home made corned beef in park n shop, al wasl today. Was vacuumpacked in fresh meat section. Not Irish but my mom would make corned beef and cabbage every year on St Patricks day. Wanted to do the same for my kids last year so bought a fresh corned beef at Park n Shop. Boiled it with spices and then potatoes and cabbage. It was horrific. Really awful meat. Even my husband who will eat anything told me to throw it away. Don't know whether we just had a bad experience or maybe Park n Shop doesn't know how to do corned beef.....anybody bought successful corned beef from PnS? Suzieirl: since my mom made corned beef and cabbage every year for St Patricks, I always assumed it was Irish. But an Irish friend here, like you, had never had it and said it definitely was not Irish so I wondered whether it was 'American' Irish tradition since it is so big in the US...

If you invest in a good one, it may last 10-15 years. Really, in my experience it always pays of to go for a premium brand in white goods. I agree. We bought a Miele washing machine....the more expensive choice at the time. We use it several times a day and it is still going strong after nine years. Well worth the investment. And they have an experienced repair team.

That link is American - The Cheerios illustrated aren't the ones I buy, I believe they're American.. I would be interested to see similar research from the UK..It's my experience that American food is loaded with sugar and most things I've bought here have tasted too sweet for us to eat..,..The American Garden brand of dressings etc is an example.. Don't assume that it is American just because it is called American Garden. I believe that is a local brand. Also, original American Cheerios are the only ones NOT coated in sugar. When I bought Cheerios in the UK it was the first time I found them coated in sugar. Of course there are many iterations now in the US that are as well but you can still get the original ones that are not and I know many Americans who bring them by the boatload to the UK, UAE etc because we haven't ever found them anywhere but the US. Lots of products in the US have sugar but I don't think that it is any worse than anywhere else when you are buying processed food. Also, remember that food products are often tailored to meet the market they are being sold in so just because an American product tastes sweet to you here doen't mean it is the same elsewhere (diet coke and coke light are a good example). These days it doesn't matter where a product is from....you have to read the label. edited by Catawba KSE on 09/01/2013

There used to be a thread 'Only in Dubai.' Haven't seen it in ages and had one of those moments tonight so bringing back a good thing: Ordered dinner delivery tonight from a local italian restaurant. Description of the pasta I ordered...'simple and delicious cream sauce with chicken, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.' My husband is working late so when the order came I split the pasta between two bowls.....ended up with HALF a cherry tomato in each bowl. That's it. I've ordered from this place many times before and like it so felt I had to give a bit of constructive criticism and rang to 'complain' nicely. My call was given to the manager: ME: I've ordered from you guys alot and like your food and service and I don't usually complain but because I like your service and would like to keep ordering from you I have to say I've been disappointed tonight. I ordered pasta with cherry tomatoes and there was only one tomato in the entire dish. HIM: Yes, all our dishes with cherry tomatoes are only a garnish so we only put one. ME: But the description says the dish includes cherry tomatoes so people will expect more than one, not a garnish. HIM: I'm sorry I will make a note against your phone number so if you order again we will put more than one cherry tomato. ME: Thank you, but perhaps other people reading the description will assume there are cherry tomatoes since it says so? HIM: Don't worry, I've noted it on your profile. You will be fine. Guess I'm set....but the rest of you beware!

Unfortunately, I'm not too optimistic as I have looked everywhere and never seen it....wondering if sightings are the true rooster sriracha. Certainly hope so as I'm addicted and would love to find it in Dubai. If no luck, I can certainly give you 2.5 Tablespoons for your recipe....

Why is everyone so against haggling? The stuff you're selling is used, and people usually over value them to allow for people wanting money off (in fact I have seen that approach recommended on here). When sellers put 'last price' or 'no bargaining' etc. then sure, I would respect that. But otherwise it is just an online garage sale, haggling is totally acceptable and accepted by the majority. I know there are lots of stupid offers, but asking for a reasonable discount is fine, seller can always just say no politely?! I agree. I once emailed someone who was selling a nursery dresser. I knew what it retailed for and even though it was a few years old she was asking for only a little less than retail price. I asked if she would consider discounting it a bit more. She did not respond. Lo and behold, a few weeks later she re-listed it at a much lower price -- lower even than I would have paid. If you don't want less then the asking price then state the price is non-negotiable.
