I was hot last night and opened the bedroom patio door to let some air in. However, it wasn't long before I was awake again with really loud machinery noises. It appeared to be coming from the perimeter towards the road way but I couldn't see what was going on and exactly where as when i went to look it was so foggy I couldn't see out past the perimeter fence from Palmera. I'm really surprised they're building during the night so close to a residential area. A neighbour told me they wouldn't build on a Friday but I noticed the digger beeping was back early Friday morning too. I know it would be unusual not to hear building in Dubai but I didn't expect it would go on through the night here in the Ranches. Not very happy that the lovely peace and quiet I've come to love here has been shattered :-(

Thank you - that's quite interesting. The 2 year old isn't ours - we've got visitors! They wanted to go so I thought I'd see if one was better than the other. Personally I can't think of anything worse than being wet at the moment as I agree that it is too cold, especially when the wind blows. However, I'm not sure how much the weather will warm up within the next 10 days.

If you were taking a 2 year old, which one of these waterparks would you recommend please?

It's a British passport. What I meant by the 10 day grace period was that it was cancelled on 21st Jan so I have until 19th February but some people seem to say that even though that is my deadline to get out that when I do go I can have an extra 10 days before they'll actually do anything! If this is the case I can hopefully stretch until 26th February. However, I DO NOT want to put myself at risk by doing anything dodgy here!!!

Oh thank you - I'd never thought of that. I will have to check what my visa allows me to do - thanks! I definitely don't want to get on the wrong side of the law :-(

Sorry - I can't be of any help I'm afraid as this is not my subject area. Apologies!

You should try Dermalogica Ultra calming cleanser. I suffered with eczema on my face and then I found this. I find it really gentle. It's not the cheapest but I buy it online through a store called pure-beauty.co.uk and a large bottle lasts me ages. You don't have to even use water to wash it off if you can't tolerate water on your skin or you just rub it on and wash it off. It even takes off your eye makeup too - brilliant!

Thank you for your reply. I saw them today actually in Ibn Battuta Mall. I took a leaflet but then I got confused as I didn't want to waste any money by going for the wrong one!
