It is not a legal requirement for the UAE to have Isofix. You do have to be careful and check each car, my car a 2010 Pajero with all the bell's and whistles DOES NOT have Isofix. ditto above not all cars 2010/11 models come with isofix (such as Kia, Hyundai, Pajero, Qashqai Nissan we looked into it few months back), as it is not a law here...also I was told by one saleman adding isofix might null and void car's varranty

well, two of my friends got married here in Jebel Ali church, both visitors, no residents, this was 2 years ago No disrespect, but 2 years in Dubai law can be an eternity lol and that is exactly why I mentioned how long ago it was so OP has an idea Im not talking about recent experience

I did use them in May and would not use them again ever! I had to complain to Cobone and finaly after weeks of chasing I got full refund. They misled me, changed timings of my cruise on last minute, threaten to cancel the trip when we got to Marina etc, I paid for 3 hrs and they argued with me that I only have 2hrs booked, yacht was not in best condition...... I would advice to avoid this company based on my personal experience HTH

For those who use Clearblue digital ovulation kit, can you please tell me if it is ok to use first morning urine? As I can not go for 4hrs without peeing and instructions doesn't specifically mentions if it is ok or not to do test first thing in the morning...also as I was using normal pee sticks before, (where lines appear)and it specifically ask you not to use first morning urine I'm confused...I'm supposed to test tomorrow so appreciate response. Thanks edited by DubaiKB on 20/07/2011

I can second Riot books! I've just done one and was really impressed by the quality and the price! One of the few things i've found in Dubai to rival prices of the UK and will certainly be using them again. In fact, i'm thinking of doing one as my wedding album because the cost of these is just silly so might do it myself using the RIOT software. Can I please ask how much did you pay/how many pages/size? thanks

. According to our antenatal classes garages will add these for you, but we just kept searching for a brand and model in our price range that had them already. interesting, because when I asked at dealer's garage to add isofix (Honda, Pajero, Nissan) they said they cant do it as it would void car's warranty...this was as recent as last month as we also searching for car with isofix...so far I only found Toyota and VW have them in our price range

I know there'll be good and bad experiences, but what ^&*('s me off is that I approached Cobone with a problem well before the expiry date of my vouchers ( couldn't get an appointment) and did not once get a response from them!!!! GGGRRRRRRRRR They have this irritating - we'll get back to you, here's your ticket number email or if yhou use their instant chat - we'll look into it and get backk to you - here's your ticket number message. Of course 7 weeks later - still no response despite many chase ups, and now the vouchers have expired. My other experiences have been great, but this is the first time I"ve had to deal with Cobone themselves and it's been a dissapointment! same here Alicia! Cobone sucks handling customer's complains! they dont respond, its been 6 weeks for my complain and nothing despite me chasing...and you can not even call them, they have stupid online chat and person keeps repeating same =sorry for delay we get back to you! well how long it takes? all is well and dandy when things go well but as soon as you want to talk to them to complain you get no response. SHAME ON COBONE!

I have found that if you are complaining to any of these voucher companies and not getting a suitable response, it is most effective to reiterate your complaint via their FB page. The public attention makes them respond very quickly! Fx well in my case my negative feedback/complain was deleted promtly by Cobone on their FB page 3 times...they have not responded to my complain for 4 weeks now!

Diamonte , I hope you inform Cobone do it via the FB page so others can see your complaint as well. It does not matter if it is a half price deal you should not get half price service. Id like to know if anybody managed to complained successfully to Cobone. I sent complain reg one of the yacht cruises deal almost 4 weeks ago and had no response/no call/no email... nothing from them. I also tried to post my concerns on their FB but my comments were immediately deleted by Cobone. They admitted to me (via chat on their website) that they had many many people complained about this particular yacht charter supplier but nobody contacted me reg my complain. Also they dont have a telephone number so you actually can not speak to them in person....Im extremely disappointed how they handled this issue and Im wondering if anybody had same non response from them for any other complains? also bit of warning...if u bought deal for De.ma Cha.m salon in BurDubai pls be aware of totaly crapy service there! worst experience ever for mani/pedi/massage/wax

Thanks all Can you believe that Candylicious had no pink candy? All their 'milkies; which are like smarties in dispensers were very non kid colors-all shades of brown, greenish, no bright basic colors like red, yellow, blue :( also no pink jelly beans :O the most similar was white with red spots which made it sort of like pink but not what I was looking for....very disapointed at the end I found little cart Sweet Factory in DM where I hand picked pink/purple smarties only from bunch of multicolor mix also picked pastel pink coated almonds, it took me forever to pick them one by one from multicolor mix but at the end I got it

We done the Sheesa beach and dhow cruise the other week in Dibba, although you go through a security check all you need for Dibba is passport or id card. Very beautiful place and the dhow cruise was a wonderful experience, great fun, my DS was very impressed, only downfall was on the campsite they only have cold water showers, so not very pleasant this time of year. Hi Kiball would you be able to provide directions to Sheesa beach? How to get there? Do you need 4x4 or not? thanks

sorry if it confused you, anea18. ok, if the address hotel on your right hand side, keep driving, you will pass the palace hotel, keep on the right hand lane, just after the traffic light you will see Tasty D-light ice cream shop, there is an arrow sign pointing you to go to the basement parking. Take that, park your car there. Out from the basement. The entrance to Burj Park I was talking about is this stairways in between The Palace hotel and Tasty D-light shop. You will have a magnificent view, where you can get nice picture of the Burj Khalifa. So now go down the stairways, into the square, keep walking to end of square. On your left will be apartment blocks (where restaurant etc) and if you go straight, take the bridge into the island/Burj Park. HTH Halle1 Can you please tell me if this car park is free or payable? I always thought it is for residents of Burj Residence towers only... thanks

as far as I know it is not possible to have civil ceremony, only in church, also some country's embassy (I think Germany) will marry their nationals in special cases, British embassy used to do it years ago but stopped more than 9+ years ago...we investigated 9 years ago but at the end we got married in Holy trinity church-Jebel Ali church did not exist then...also had a blessing afterwards at the hotel's beach but legal ceremony had to be in the church HTH

There is only 1 Banyan tree voucher in the travel book, instead of the usual 3 in the Main/Fine Dining books, which is a shame...Not sure if the summer specials start that early - would give the hotel a call and find out when the offers start, as you can save lots!.... Also if you call the hotel direct and say that you are a UAE/GCC resident, they can give discounts too.... edited by chizz on 05/01/2011 oh, I didnt realize that is the case with only one voucher per hotel :( anyway will see if I can get better rate....

I have the Travel book and Banyan Tree Al Wadi, RAK is in there - Buy One Night, Get One Free - am looking to do it myself this year. The other hotels you mention are not in the book for the free night offer...you will get good summer special deals, but your anniversary may be well before then... edited by chizz on 05/01/2011 Thanks looking at May/June, so far Banyan Tree is 1684 per night and Qasr is around 990 per night, quite a diffrence I really would like one Banyan Tree Al Wadi voucher if anybody has a spare one pleeese :) thank you
