It can range from 2500 to 11,000 (for a 6 bedroom) average around 4500-5000 per month. The bill is always less in the winter. Usually if the bill goes up there's a leakage somewhere or people visiting dubai.

Gems metropole school is in motor city. Also there's another one they are building across from safa community school a little bit further down the road.

I pay exactly 440 Dhs / month for phone, net, tv. It seems like the package I have isn't there anymore, I don't have any of those premium channels either.

Mines 6 months and still interested in it. They also have a nice selection of light and sound toys in hamleys and babies r us. Also early learning centre and mumzworld have a smaller selection of interesting toys.

I'd say an outside room is more comfortable. And get a walkie talkie or a buzzy bell so you can call her when u need her to come. If u are going out late you could also have her bring a mattress into the house for that night.

Try mothercare, they also sell stokke products. If it's not there I guess the best thing to do is order it on the net.

As far as I know, if u have it verified by a solicitor and attested in the foreign office in milton Keynes... (but not the uae embassy in London) then u can take it to the British embassy here, they stamp to verify the stamps from their foreign office, then u take it to the uae ministry of foreign affrs for the last step. Helpline is cheaper than index, just take someone with you as parking is a nightmare

I don't recommend ever going to a 'cheap' dentist. Most likely you are going to have to fix whatever they did and in the long run you will pay more.

If it was sent by registered post, keep calling the post office with your number. Or check the status on the net then when it says it's here go to the karama post office to pick it up. If it's not sent by registered post, it might be harder to locate, but you could still keep visiting the post office to see if it arrived.

Wrong location to pull out a potty, she could have pulled it out somewhere more discreet not right in front of all the shops where everyone can see.

I have a friend who special ordered a Pomeranian puppy from petzone. She saw pics and descriptions of their temperaments, of all the puppies they had available from different breeders. She seems really happy with her puppy, and no health issues.

If you get a bulldog or a pug, potty training might be more difficult since these dogs can't handle the heat (and they are also a little stubborn). So you might have to train them to use a sand box in the house like a cat. They will eventually get the hang of it, it just may take a little longer to train them. German sheps on the other hand will learn commands faster, and potty training them is easier since they can handle being outdoors for longer periods of time. However these dogs often get seasonal heat rashes and treating their skin takes a lot of time and expense. Whatever breed of dog you choose to get they are all a lot of work and responsibility. The more work and training you put in at the start all shows later on when you have a well behaved dog. And all dogs get bored, and boredom leads to destruction, like digging holes, eating the sofa, eating your shoes, and sometimes smaller dogs can be more destructive, so it's not just about size.

The chances of actually seeing creepy crawlies in the desert is quite low. Just make sure you take a Jacket cuz it does get really cold.

Try crèche out. It's In the pyramids in wafi. You can leave your little ones there for up to 3 hours at a time. It's perfect if you want to go to the gym or a restaurant or do some shopping. They look after babies too which is perfect. There is also a gym in motor city (sorry can't remember the name, it's In the same building as carrfour) that looks after the kids while you work out, I'm just not sure if If they also look after babies.

I wish him good luck, job hunting is hard especially when you don't have a lot of experience. Try the offices in studio city too. A friend of mine posted a little ad in the classified section of the newspaper "job wanted" and surprisingly she got called back and found a job.

Once they divorce, her residency doesn't automatically get cancelled, the ex husband has to go physically cancel it himself. So if he is willing, he could keep her residency till it expires, however he wont be able to renew it again. (He can only renew the children's residencies). As for the civil marriage in the uk, they would need to formally divorce in court otherwise that would still be valid. Either in the dubai court or in the uk. The country they divorce in may effect the outcome on things like how they distribute the couples assets.

When I was that age I did ballet and swimming. That's all I can remember really and all that come to mind when I think of fun classes for that age. I'm sure things have changed cuz now all kids talk about is trampolining.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I had a very different experience at city hospital, with a different dr. I felt that all the appointments were rushed, I spent more time in the waiting room than with the dr. Literally 5-10 minutes each appointment. I had to specifically ask if I should be taking a prenatal vitamin and which one. And I was referred to fetal medical centre to do my scans with a specialist rather than doing them at the hospital. I was hoping to do everything all in the same place, I was even thinking it might be because the hospital doesn't have a proper ultrasound machine.

It might have something to do with the season. Last few days I've heard quite a few cat fights while I was sitting in the garden. Maybe it's mating season or angry cat season...

A few wads of TP probably wouldn't clog up the pipes but I wouldn't make a habit of it, years of TP flushing is bound to cause a problem at some point. Saheel are individual homes so you wouldn't have the same problem as in an apartment.

ENBD or mashreq bank. However if it's just for salary transfer I would find out what bank my employer is banking with and open an account in the same bank that the salary is going to come out from. Inter bank transfers usually are processed faster.

All I know is its a required vaccine, so at some point they will have to take it. I took it when I was 18 and I didn't have any side effects. The vaccine wasn't required in the early 80's in the states so I never took it when I was a child. The effects of meningitis on children are really scary and it takes a long time to recover so I'd definitely vaccinate for this one.

Sun and sand came to repair mine, I purchased it from dubizzle and some bits and pieces came loose while it was being transported. I guess as long as it's a brand they carry they would be able to fix it.

There are a bunch of agencies that provide home nursing, sublime, emirates home nursing, angels of medical care... Just to name a few. Most insurances really only would cover a hospital stay rather than a home nurse. I can't think of one that would cover home medical care. Best thing would probably be to hire a trusted housemaid and wait till you really know her before trusting her with the child on sick days. I had a temp home nurse when is was recovering from a csection gone wrong, I was at home but could hardly move and I had a clash of ideas with the nurse about child care and sleep positions (I wanted the baby on its back and she wanted it on its side with support) and various other small things. At least a housemaid would follow your instructions rather than assume they know best.

I went to buy the DVDs from Virgin but they were all sold out, just a few left for older babies. So I watched them on YouTube, it was fun for the first five mins, then it got a bit boring (for me) some parts of baby Bach really upset my baby and some parts seemed enjoyable. I think it was just the bright colours, not really the content. I probably wouldn't invest in buying the whole collection, you tube is definitely the way to go. It's probably best if used as background noise. I found a bunch of soft fluffy books in mothercare and this tiny bookshop in motor city. Babies seem to really enjoy the books that crinkle and have little mirrors. Although the book gets waved around like a flag more often than it looks like its being read.
