Hi there only starting to research double strollers/buggies now, second baby due in June by which time DD will be 20 months. Had thought of getting the Phil and Teds due to recommendations of two friends who both use them but now am looking at this City Select. Would love to see one in reality before deciding on buying though. Looking at them online its hard to see exactly how they work though or am i not seeing what i should see? Are they back to back or side to side? OK maybe I need to do some further investigation ... will keep an eye on this thread for updates

Hey Had my big scan yesterday and am thrilled to say all looks good. Baby weight and measurements are looking good for dates. I didn't find out if a boy or girl, just happy to know all is looking good. S/he kept putting her hands up over his/her face so didnt see the 4D images unfortunately. Next time hopefully. Take care, Curly

well considering Ireland just had its coldest winter in decades and its warmest January, who knows what the weather will be like in April, its anyone's guess really. From my experience though, April and May con normally be lovely with the weather turning bad for the summer months just when you'd expect it to be nice. As said below, Ireland can get many seasons in one day but as also said its one of the most beautiful places in the world (ok I'm biased) so anytime is a good time to visit. Enjoy if you go, you will love it.

MM the company I use is good (tried several other agencies before them), they bring the girls in from the Philippines, train them thoroughly for a couple of weeks, take good care of their accommodation and are flexible with the hours. 30 dirhams per hour. Sorry to hijack but Katja would you mind telling me the company's name and their number please? I am a bad need of finding a good company. Cheers Curly

Hi there Congrats Misby. I am on the Nursery hunt for my 16 month DD, although it will prob be Sept before she starts. I might send her to a summer camp for a month after the baby comes to get her used to it and give me some time. I am thinking of just a 3 day week at the moment but the Nursery hunt is a minefield (not to mention expensive). Like you Alimart I have my 22 week scan coming up, mine is Monday next. I can't wait although will have to remember to tell the doc NOT to tell me s$x. Surprise all the way for me ... lol Hope everyone is doing good and feeling well.

I feel your pain Sarah, my 16 month old DD is also biting, although she seems to just bite me or my DH - esp when she gets frustrated and/or doesn't get her own way. Thankfully she hasn't bitten another child but I'm under no illusions that it may happen soon. I raise my voice and tell her its bold and I try and stay cross with her by ignoring her for awhile but to be honest it doesn't seem to matter to her. Its so hard to discipline them at this age as they don't understand. Persistance is the key I guess. Curly

Gogi like you I'm going to Al Wasl to deliver in June all going well. I had my DD in Medcare but this time around due to a job/insurance change we are not covered for maternity. I'm a bit shocked to hear the price per night of the NICU to be honest. I knew they would charge but that's very expensive. My DD was in the NICU for one night in Medcare and that cost 1800 Dhs so Al Wasl is much more expensive. Am wondering if going with Al Wasl instead of private is the better option after all ??? I am 21 weeks and am doing my ante natal appointments in Nad Al Sheba - little waiting time for apps really but my God the staff (reception) out there could do with a few classes in customer service. The OB/GYN was lovely though so thats all that counts really. I did have to wait for my 20 week scan as they couldn't fit me in til next week at which point I'll be 22 weeks. HTHs Curly

Hi all my sister comes to visit in Feb for a week and has kindly offered to look after my DD (16 months) for a night or two if DH and I would like to get away for a break. This would be our first time break away from DD (am choosing not to count a night we had while home for Christmas when we were woken by twin babies screaming at 6am in the Hotel Room across from ours) and would like it to be nice/luxurious without necessarily breaking the bank. Any and all suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated. We don't want to go too far from Dubai, two hour drive max just in case we need to get back. Also have done Fujariah to death in the past so anywhere else?? Thanks all, Curly

Hi Curly Congrats! You have a little girl of pretty much the same age as mine, I remember we were pregnant at the same time last time and are due quite close to each other again- I am due 9 June. I totally hear you about having 2 under 2 but from reading some posts on here, it will be hard but we will manage! Hope you are feeling well this time! Hi alimart, thanks and congrats to you too. That's funny that we are very much in line with our babies and next babies ;o) Yes we will manage with the two under two I'm sure. Are you thinking of sending your little one to nursery? I am feeling great thanks, exhausted for first 14 wks but good since. We were home for Christmas and its taken me almost 2 wks to shake the tiredness from the trip back. Think having a very active 15 month old has something to do with that! I worked full time throughout my first pregnancy but can safely say that I am more tired being a SAHM with this pregnancy. We'll have to keep in touch re our progress. Hope you're doing good too. Curly

Hi Ladies, Congrats to you all. I am expecting number two on June 14th having a little girl of 15 months already. Am slightly (ok hugely) daunted at the prospect of having two baba's under two but no doubt it will all work out somehow. I had my DD at Medcare but am going to Al Wasl this time around and had a scan last week at just under 18 weeks and everything looks good thank God and should have my big scan in the next couple of weeks. Am not going to find out what this baby is as my opinion is after all the hard work of the nine months it will be nice to have a little surprise at the end of it all. I just have to remember each time I am being scanned to tell the doc not to tell me what the $ex is as in my experience they seem very quick to say it as its more the norm here to know in advance. So it will be nice to stay in touch and see how we are all doing. Hope everyone is feeling well and the pregnancies are going great. Curly
