I know it would never happen but I miss Trader Joes, Target, Costco and real bagels and real pizza (from New York!)

You can get it here. They have it at the book store in Spinneys in Meadows. (I'm sure other stores too) I would give you mine but I passed it on already!

That's what most people say! Maybe I'm getting old. I've seen the author interviewed-a very shy Britsh woman. You have to watch out for the quiet ones!

Only two weeks? It takes time but you will meet people! I remember the driving was crazy at first- you will get lost many times but it gets a lot easier!! Maybe you could volunteer at the school. My kids school does coffee mornings and monthly trips for the moms. They always need people helping out for various things. You could be involved as much or as little as youd like. (if your teenagers don't mind you being seen at school- ha!) Life will improve when you are driving and get out more. It takes time, best of luck!

Do you have access to the emails of moms from your child's class? You can send everyone an email with time and place to meet one morning. I find it helps to have something in common- such as same aged kids, school, etc. Even if one or two show up sometimes that's all you need!

I had a hard time finding one in the book stores but I got one for my daughter at St. Francis in Jebel Ali (Catholic church). Call first and they will tell you what time to pick it up. I don't have number but it's on website.

Anyone take cake decorating classes at Tavola? Worth the money? Learn anything or just for fun or neither? Any feedback appreciated.

Do they ever catch these people? The mom at union co-op saw the men and screamed. There must have been people around. What do they do here for "attempted" kidnappers?

Does anyone know of a good piano teacher in the Meadows/JI/ Barsha area? Preferably a woman who speaks English very well as my daughter is only eight.

My husband and I love it too! Excellent food, nice to sit outside, great service. Have a cocktail first on veranda- perfect weather for it!
