Rupert Murdoch has filed for divorce from his wife and the reason is said to be jaw-dropping. The rumours have all been about an affair with Tony Blair but he's denied it. Any guesses?

My understanding is that most airlines require a doctor's note to say you are fit to fly once you are 32 weeks and you can't fly after 36 weeks. If you are big best to get a note to be on the safe side even if you are earlier than that. I find flying very uncomfortable when pregnant but it's different for everyone and 7 hours isn't too long.

let me also add to this by saying that the food intolerance tests often show different intolerances when repeated. An allergy or Celiac test should not. Which doesn't say much for their reliability!

I agree with the other ladies not to do anything until you've had extensive testing done. However, if it turns out you do need to cut out gluten, dairy and eggs the [url=http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.ae/'>this[/url'> website is great for gluten free recipes and [url=http://parsleysoup.co.uk/'>this[/url'> website is vegan so egg and dairy free recipes. Don't panic, pretty much everyone will show intolerance to some things when across the board food intolerance tests are done, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to cut them out.

I'm pretty sure it is the opening party tomorrow evening 7pm - 9pm. It is located near the Al Reem 2 gate. Not sure on the opening hours going forward, I just assumed it wouldn't be fenced off so would be open all the time. Could be wrong!

No I don't Ms Pineapple. The reason your car is so safe, the reason my children's toys don't have harmful chemicals, the reason your airplane flies to well is all due to consumer negligence legislation. You don't think these companies really care about your safety? No. They don't want to get sued. To think anything else is just fruity. Surely it's also because they want people to keep buying/using their products? Nothing like a safety scandal to whittle down your customer base.Which is why I wouldn't fly China Airlines, nothing to do with my ability to sue them after the fact.

Silly woman, I bet she tries it on with at least one parent every year. If she has been travelling and not been in to the nursery does that mean she took your number when she left just in case she ran out of cash? I'd be annoyed about getting asked for money but I'd be REALLY annoyed that she had accessed and copied my details. All in all I think you can report her with a clear conscience.

No, I don't think you should sue. It's bad form that they haven't followed up with you and it would have been good customer service to offer you a voucher or something but to be honest, I think even the suggestion of suing is ridiculous. If you are traumatised to the point that you can't sleep over what must have given you a fright at the time but what is in reality not a major incident then maybe that is something you need to address? It would be difficult to go through life being so anxious about 'what might have beens'. Especially living here with the roads the way they are. Have you tried any relaxation techniques to help you with anxiety? I hope your complaint to the store is addressed in a way satisfactory to you and you are feeling better about the incident soon.

I did this last year, not sure if the procedure is changed. I didn't have to get a health card. I just took passport copies and visa copies for myself and my husband and a copy of our marriage certificate (no DEWA bills or mortgage agreement needed) and 5000 AED to the clinic in my area - in this case Nad Al Sheba. I called the DHA number on their website to find out which clinic I should go to. They wouldn't take registration until after 16 weeks. The doctor said strictly speaking your appointments are meant to be at Latifa after 20 weeks but she continued to see me until 24 weeks. I never went to Latifa as I also have private OB who I was seeing and who delivered my baby, Latifa was just a back up in case of early delivery as I had complications.

Honey and Walnut cake sounds divine mushypeas! If it's not too much trouble could you please post a link or the recipe? I haven't ever bought Leban DR, I tend to use dairy free alternatives but I've googled and evidently I can make a fake buttermilk by adding vinegar to my normal dairy free milk. Sounds weird but I'll give it a go so I can make the Delia scones!

Thank you Tallybalt, I shall watch more closely! I did also notice the alternating flour/dairy thing, not something I do either. I definitely prefer a denser cake, too light and airy just doesn't seem substantial enough. A nice thick wedge of ginger or banana cake, mmmm.

they also add things like yogurt / sour cream / buttermilk to their cakes to lighten / moisten them which may counter the gluten hardening effects. I tried adding buttermilk to my scones instead of plain milk and it truly works! Same for muffins. That's true TDB, they often use buttermilk. Can't say I've ever used or even bought it in my life.

I'm a prolific baker and this is exactly my method. Butter and sugar until light and fluffy, gently gently with the flour. But why do American recipes tend to beat the combined batter? Maybe it is the use of cake flour. If it's less gluten then it might not go so tough.

because some people struggle to get their head round the idea that it's possible for normal, responsible, loving parents to suffer a fatal lapse of memory... I agree it's beyond comprehension but if you make an effort to read scientific explanations of how the human mind works, and generally be open to debate and information on the subject then hopefully you can be less judgemental and more aware.. I think you've hit the nail on head Pikachu. It's not surprising though, there are plenty of people that don't believe in many aspects of science, no matter how overwhelming the evidence.

I'd hate for security to try to stop them playing on the road. It's far better they are out getting fresh air than in front of a computer (like me!) but they do need reminded cars use the road too and to keep an eye out. An accident would be awful.

You shouldnt need to double or triple check to make sure you have taken your child out of the car, [b'>its a natural inner mechanism to do this as a parent[/b'>. All this talk about devices to help parents remember, is pathetic. No parent is perfect in any way or form, but come on,we are talking about a child's death here!! not a scraped knee. edited by salsB on 10/06/2013 Have you read the articles that were posted salsB? Because the overwhelming message was that in some circumstances (such as a change from normal routine) the 'natural inner mechanism', in this case, habit, actually can lead you to forget your child is with you. I'm not explaining it very well, the articles make it much more clear. I don't think any method that parents employ to help keep their children safe should be branded as pathetic. I do find it surprising the number of people that seem to think they are infallible.

It's annoying but I don't think waiting 45 minutes is bad as doctors often have emergencies BUT you should have been informed of this and given the option to reschedule. It's really frustrating to be waiting and keep getting told 'just 5 minutes' when it's clearly not going to be. Your doctor's attitude wasn't good but if you went in angry and aggressive then perhaps she was replying in kind? She should be used to dealing with hormonal women and be more professional but perhaps she was having a bad day, as we all do some times. Did she have a patient with her when you went in? Anyway, if the trust is broken it's time to find a new doctor.

Our first summer in the Ranches was 6 years ago. As soon as the schools finished it was like a ghost town with tumbleweed blowing down the streets. Thankfully, it's not nearly so bad now. We are in Alma and there are normally other children in the pool in the afternoons. We are normally here most of the summer, my children never do summer camp and we have fun. Don't worry, there will still be people here :)

You see parents driving with the children without car seats/seat belts. It happens? Yes! Is it excusable? No! Simoralu, that's not the same thing. Not putting a seat belt on a child is willful negligence. We are talking about accidental negligence here. You seem like a caring person, can you really find no compassion for the parents in these situations?

That's a great article Pikachu, thanks for posting. ilovewine, you asked how the parents of the little boy missed the presence of him, maybe it was his sleep time and each thought the other had taken him in and he was just having a good sleep, safe in his bed? I feel so desperately sorry for anyone this happens to. My children are always at the fore front of my mind and I'm safety conscious but I also know I'm not infallible. Sometimes when our family gets home at the weekend it's a bit chaotic, younger children sleeping, older children making demands, someone rushing to the loo, a tantrum kicking off etc etc. As much as I like to think it would never happen and I always check, what if that one day I didn't and I thought my husband had taken a sleeping child to bed and he thought I had done it? And as the article says, in some circumstances it can only take 15 minutes for a child to die in a hot car. I'm going to employ the soft toy tip in the article.

Hi brazilianindubai In light of what you have said about your husbands 'small boy dream' and the fact that he will be the one mainly driving it, I'd be inclined to indulge him and let him make the choice. As long as it's not utterly impractical and doesn't blow the budget, why not let him fulfill that dream? I would however be making very clear that in the event of unreliability issues he'd be the one catching the taxi or bus while it got fixed, not me.
