We've never been to the one on Orchard Road but the Conrad at Marina Bay is fantastic - would highly recommend it. They're the mall within 5 minutes walk as well as the Mandarin Oriental and Marina Bay Sands in case you fancy trying some different bars and restaurants.

Thanks everyone, all that info is really helpful. What does a PRO stand for? Public Relations Officer - they sort out visas etc for all the employees.

My visa still says housewife but my company (non-freezone) applied for a work permit for me so I now have a credit card sized work visa that I need to carry with me (yet another card to add to the purse!). The PRO at your new company should organize all this for you. HTH

So you can use the vouchers for the brunch at Mina a'Salam? I thought it probably was only valid for regular meals. Great if you can though - I'll be heading down there as i love their brunch! DC

Actually they have just started a farmers market in the marina too, just by the new Baker & Spice on the weekend (Sat, I think) Must check it out. Hubbie passed it last week and said it looked great. Whereabouts is the Marina one? Is it on The Walk somewhere?
