Dr. Ali Nazarian at DentCare in Healthcare city is a specialist in crowns, veneers, bridges, etc. he only charges about 3000 for a crown. My sister had her crown done with him, she was very happy.

Congrats! As a Muslim, I am not condoning this, however, ur child will need medical care until you sort out your legal issues. Please go c a pvt doctor, and she wouldn't even ask you about your marital status. I've had 3 kids and seen many docs, no ones asked about marital status up until the birth! So start prenatal supplements. Dr Raoufi (Arya Clinic on beach rd opposite Iranian Hospital) is an excellent dr and as sympathetic as she is to all her patients and to your situation, she could advise you accordingly. Good luck.

I'm a former teacher myself and plan to start looking for a job too. Why don't u ask to c if your kids school offers discounts to teachers children, if yes then it would simply be ideal if you try and get a job with them, admin or assistant position. It also helps with drop offs and timings and holidays. And if u have to stay late then they are right there in the same place so u don't have to commute. Good luck to both of us :)

My personal favorite is Dr. Ali (as he is known among patients ) at DentCare in healthcare city. Not as expensive as the big fancy clinics, yet impeccable in terms of hygiene and work. Does a fantastic job, my entire family have started to see him.

Try Sadaf Restaurant, Persian mainly, but they have all sorts of foods. Their appetizers (Lebanese included) and kebabs are fantastic! I think they're just under 100 per head as well. They have branches all over so bound to find something close to u as well. I usually order from there for events and have always been happy.

I THINK KG2 is done at children's garden for them Children's garden is a sister school, but JbS has its own pre k, kg1 and kg2. Children from the children's garden do get priority after kg2 to move to grade 1 at JBS.

Thanks ladies. We've already done assessments. We were hoping they'd let my son into first grade based on assessment and not age, but they're not budging. Reptons is my next option. The risk of allowing my son to regress because he's bored and under challenged is scary (as was the case last year at a different school, he was almost depressed!) so we don't really want to take that risk again.

My daughter has very sensitive skin and therefore she's Always had a rash. Dr prescribed egozite it did help, but lately I feel like she's become immune! Most important things to remember is to make sure she is always dry before the nappy goes back on, and definitely dry before you apply any cream, trapping in moisture will make it worse. Also if possible take of the nappy off right after a bowel movement and let it air, that's the best thing for my daughter. I also got Desitin from USA from a friend and it's working wonders, doubt it's available here. Good luck. P.s. I'm willing to split the Desitin with u, I know how difficult a nappy rash can be :(

The doctor you chose to see is a lot more important than the name of the hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Morgan Azadi at prime medical center on beach road, but it is jumeirah 1. She is an excellent internist and definelty worth the drive. I think she's there on Wednesdays, please call and check first. Good luck and hopefully it's nothing serious.

Hi thanks. I'd like to know if they cater to students that are more advanced, and if yes, how? My son is in kg2 now, in September he will have to repeat kg2 at jbs because he's a January baby, which means even if he wasn't academically a fast learner, he's bound to get bored repeating an entire year! I'm worried and not sure what to do.

I'm fairly new here so I don't know if it's alright to even ask, but would you be willing to share the name of your child's school, and what they are doing to help him?

Dear Amy, what could be more challenging than being a mother? Give yourself a Pat on the back, u deserve it. Today was one of those days for me as well. Kids crying all over the place and me going berserk! 7 pm Is what I have to look forward to. Give yourself an evening off if possible, u deserve it and it will do u wonders. Good luck.

Why don't you contact the Dubai community health center, maybe they can help you. They've got quite a few therapists there. Good luck.

I have a child that is gifted and am having difficulty with schooling for him. Just didn't quite understand your situation, if you're looking for an educational or child psychologist, there should be a few in Dubai. Google should help. My child was considered the smartest yet naughtiest child in class last year, all because he was bored in class and the teachers failed to give him appropriate work for his level. I'm afraid I will have the same situation next year and there isn't much I can do about it :( I feel even an independent assessment won't help my case as the schools aren't budging on moving him up a year to ensure he is not bored in class and under challenged. edited by Elabella1 on 15/02/2013

Hi there. I'm extremely happy with my doctor (Dr. Ali Nazarian) he was also at the Boston university but he's now moved to DentCare in healthcare city. I think he charges similar to what some others have mentioned for implants. My main concern in seeing any doctor, especially dentist as it is frightening, is expertise and comfort. I truly feel comfortable with this doc and he IS very good at what he does (veneers and implants, etc) Also you should make sure u c a specialist Prosthodontist because I know there are some general dentists that will do what the specialist does but obviously not as good because it's not their forte! Good luck! edited by Elabella1 on 14/02/2013

I've had 3 kids in under 5 years, and I wouldn't change my doctor ( dr Raoufi at Arya Clinic in Jumeira 1) for anything in the world! Not only is she extremely capable and professional, she's also the sweetest ever! She takes the time to explain anything you need and gives you advice but will do what you prefer. The best part, she gives patients her phone number and is accessible round the clock! That is the best Thing any doc can do for me!

Hi. There's a center in mirdiff called Kalimati, I know they do speech therapy and other one to be and group therapies. They're not a formal school, but it's worth checking out maybe. Good luck and all the best.
