Hi Dubai Rose, first of all I was sorry to read about your Father and the loss of your mother to cancer. My father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer here and received excellent treatment at the American Hospital in Dubai. He speaks very highly of the doctors and nurses there and thank God, he is doing well. In terms of care, I read about Emirates Home Nursing www.emirateshomenursing.ae have a look at their website, maybe they can offer some support. Sounds like you have grown here, so make sure you do things with your Dad that you did as a child, it's always interesting going back to places and hopefully it will evoke some fond memories. Good luck and take care of yourself too.

He can go to nursery and complete FS1 and FS2 or he can attend school and do FS1 and FS2 there, although not all scghhools offer FS1. There are lots of useful websites to look at such as www.khda.gov.ae (gives list of all the private school and their inspection ratings), www.whichschooladvisor.com, www.souqamal.com Good luck :)

Yes I think Champions are the most expensive. It depends on where you live, but I have been using Black and White Dry Cleaning in Motor City, if you live in the Ranches or surrounding area they will pick up and deliver. They charge AED 29 for sry cleaning suits Call 04 3375111 and ask for the Motor City shop number

I am not sure where you are based, but DigitalWorld who have outlets around Dubai have good quality printing, good prices and do small quantities. The one I have used is in Dubai International Academic City. Ask for Gerald.

You could try Jim will Fix It as they charge per job and don't require you to have a contract.

I used a tailor in Satwa called Motexha, it's managed by a lovely British lady who has tons of experience in the wedding industry. Her name is Ann Rashid (050-5982070). Although I got married in 2005, I recall they were very reasonable in price. I took a picture of a dress I wanted and her tailor matched it perfectly, even down to the crystal edging! Good luck for your big day.

Yes, I think there is a place in Knowledge Village, can't remember the name but think it's something like Early Years ..... have a look at www.kv.ae for listings. I recommend you do it so that you will be qualified.

We used Baby Steps and agree with all the below, worth every Dirham. You have so much to get your head round when the baby comes along, the last thing you want is the headache of going to government departments, especially in this heat!

We recently used a company called Inside Out. They were very reasonable, painted the inside and outside of our al reem villa in Arabian ranches. They were referred to us by a friend and very professional. They have a website www.insideoutuae.com . They quote based on the size of your villa and what sort of painting you want. Good luck.
