Hi Michelle, The tests that need to be done are a blood test and a chest x-ray. The blood test is to test for communicable diseases such as HIV, hepatitis a and b and the chest x-ray is taken for the purposes of testing for TB. If the test results are positive, the applicant will be deported from the UAE. If you suspect that you suffer from a communicable disease it is advisable to get tested in your home country first. Some are done in private clinics some in government establishments depending on what your company has set up. Private clinics tend to be very quick, others a bit longer but some places have a ladies only section which makes things quicker. HTH

sorry, this is the second day now and to be honest, I just don't like it...the speech bubble style on the menu is distracting, the pale grey tiny writing of post times etc is barely legible and stark contrast to big bold purple text elsewhere... the quotes being in grey boxes just looks odd and without the defining lines it all looks 'frayed' lol I feel like some old luddite who complains for the sake of it and can't cope with change :D edited by Molly Coddle on 17/01/2013 Latest update: The font sizes are all exactly the same as they were before.... except for the date and time and they can't be changed. The lines have been replaced so everything is more in a box again There is no purple text- it's a pink colour to match the branding of the rest of the site. The follow threads option is not up and running yet- being worked on but will be live as soon as possible. Thanks for the feedback...

Gosh, enough with the complaining, you're still all on here a few days later and many more will join, so a bit of a website change isn't going to shut down EW. Companies everywhere may find a need to refresh their brand and enhance the user experience. New technologies, new customers, new business needs means these websites will evolve. You can't please everyone, and just like you got use to the changes before, you will get use to this. Thanks Sakhifa! Your support means a lot to the team working on this upgrade :)
