Thanks for The directions Denshort. I can see that it's right on Doha St, but obviously not accessible from there! It turns out that we are co-ordinating a collection through work, so I will save my Business Bay adventure for another day.

You can park in the Souk itself. Turn off the boulevard as if going to the Palace Hotel but then turn right at the roundabout and it will lead to the car park. Alternatively park in the Dubai Mall and walk across the bridge to the Souk.

Can anyone tell me the location of the Radisson Blu Downtown? Wikimapia is showing it on al Khail Rd. Is this right? Thanks :-)

I have it now thanks. Rolex is on the same side of SZR road. It's opposite Liberty House, which is the next building along from Limestone, so very close to you.

We're in Rolex Tower and we decided to stay put, but maybe Limestone one day.... I'm not Chinese, but I have some connections ;-) and let's just say I've been to Royal China a few times. If you'd like to meet up, post your email address and I'll get in touch.

Hi Sugarbeach Are you living in Limestone? We went to look around there recently and I really liked it. We are just down the road. There are quite a few residential buildings in the area now. DIFC is great during Ramadan (if you aren't fasting) as all the food outlets are open, even at the weekend :-)

Does anyone know if the American Hospital easy access clinic is still open on Friday? Tried to call the number below but no one answering On their website they have a primary care clinic that is open every day 8-5, but when I called the number given I got a message to call back during working hours (i.e. Sat - Thurs) Don't feel like going over there to find that it's closed!

It is the same chain as in London. No pork, and the dim sum wasn't that great though. The main meals were better. I absolutely loved the London ones, so a bit of a disappointment, but will give it another go as I went when it had just opened. For those who like dim sum, Long Yin at the Meridien airport isn't bad, and they do serve pork :-)

I can't remember what the cost was now, but you will find out the price before you are committed, so if it doesn't seem good value then you can call the whole thing off. Good luck!

Hi there. I sent some excess baggage by air cargo for a friend. To be honest, the whole thing was a bit of a trial as it's set up for companies moving large quantities, and in the end it cost the same as the excess baggage would have done anyway. I think that was because it was only one bag. Larger quantities may be more economical. I used Emirates Cargo, which is in the Cargo Village. There are signs to it once you get into the airport area.

Completely glued to the TV! Just saw Posh and Becks. When was the last time they had to stand in a queue?

Thanks Pomegranate. I really like the Marco Bicego and Roberto Coin that Damas sells. Unfortunately I only have about enough air miles for a toaster, so it looks like I will be waiting a while still!

Pomegranate, What a great idea! Can you remember how many dirhams you get for an air mile in Damas?

Couldn't keep track of that one as well captainjacky! Chelsea vs Liverpool now. I have to say that Torres looked sooooo much better in red. Blue just doesn't match his skin tone ;-)

That was also an amazing game! So many goals yesterday. I was definitely supporting the underdog. First loss for Man U this season I think, and by the team at the bottom of the league! edited by giantpanda on 06/02/2011

I was wondering if there was still a place for butlers in the modern world. I'm fairly sure the queen has one, but who would feel the need otherwise? SQ, a butler used to be head of the domestic staff, so not so much of the menial tasks. A good reference would be "Remains of the Day", film or the book.

A bit off topic, but does anyone have, or know of anyone who has a butler? Once you have more than one domestic, you may as well go for a full set!

LIA, you can get Barkeepers Friend at Lakeland at Mirdiff City Centre. It's a white powder that comes in a small bottle like container. My friend recommended it to me for stained sinks :-)
