Hi bubby1234, I was wondering if you can give the ladders? as I will need them to paint the new house I am moving in.... is it possible to come around today and collect the ladders? In my personal opinion, I won't send my LO alone in a house I don't know who are the adults are, after all they are strangers for me and my LO. If I couldn't be there with LO in the same place...no. If it was my Lo, I would take him out in that day and give him a treat to have me and him time. instead you can plan a play date in a a public park, from there you can take it further... but out of nowhere sending my LO to a total strange place and leave him alone - yes I know there will be children again with stranger adults around him specially in the ME generally speaking - for 2-3 hours... no I won't leave him.

Sorry to say this, but it appears that someone is trying to hack into your account on EW. last week been a terrifying experience, as someone hacked into my sisters's FB account, he/she/ they did read my messages to my sister and there were some infer about me, like my mobile number, emails and so on.... this hacked did try to hack into my FB,couple of times, and when this hacker couldn't get into my account, they faked an account under my name and copied some of my recent public posts, and tried to friend my friends and asked people to report me as I am the imposer, and went on some pages I like on FB and started inflammatory comments and incriminating posts.....it took me 3 days to stop this account and it was very intense time....after that, this hacker went to another people I know but they are not my friends... there is a big campaign from the hackers at the moment, hacking into so many people in the ME in general..... so take care.

for the nail polish saga, you can pop into fedaa shop in satwa and buy gloves, they have black an whit colours .... again if you have only open toe shoes, again the same shop does sell dark black stockings and wear it with that shoes... HTH

OP, lesson lernt... just keep quite, next time don't leave your bag out of your sight.... I know what you are saying, again it will be easy to say that you maybe lost here or there, or just bought something you eat it or drank it in the petrol station and forgotten about it... the employer maybe will start defending her maid, and this will leave your word against the maid's word, which is not a good situation for anyone.... If you are so interested you can always start a conversation with the employer about this maid, like how long she is working for her, is she doing all her chores.... let the lady talk about her maid, and will understand how the conversation is going, maybe she have doubts about the integrity of this maid in question...then you can slip this incident in - only if the lady acquaintance started that way of the conversation..... HTH

I think I will be the devil advocate here... Just tell the gardeners no thank you and start moving to close the door, if he - any one of them - started arguing with you like the leaves on the ground or you are not a gardner or anything like that, just tell him you will call the police for him...and watch him speeding to get out of your sight.... I do understand they are looking for a job, and I have no objection on this, but the approach they are using is totally wrong, you don't want the service and no one should oblige you to accept invasion to your property - the one who climbs the wall - this type you need to shout at them and tell them you are calling the police, and show him you are dialing your phone, this will get him away, and yes they will spread the word... Simple and effective way to stop the circus. HTH

Hi EWrs I need packing boxes, as I am shifting homes - God Only Know when - but any moment DH's employer will give the green light for us to move.... So I am asking favors from you ladies, if any have boxes to lend me/ or give me, then this will help me.... I did went to the near 5 shops and asked them if they have any empty boxes to give me, some times they give me 2-3 boxes, or they just throw it in the big bin. Thank you in advance lovely ladies :)

OP... a place become hunted for any reasons, it doesn't matter that you lived 3 years in the same place, that means that it won't get hunted in the fourth year.... I did encounter something like that in my teenage in my family home, we did live in a building block, and it did happen me and my brother and sisters did witness exorcism when we were children, it was an apartment that you can rent it per week, we did see a woman lying on her face and covered with a big cover, that no one can see her, and group of men were repeating some verses, then this woman raised her head - still covered - and talked with the leader of these men, she whispered something into his ear, then he gave her a light smack on her head, after few minutes she done the same thing, then this time the man poked his head out of the window we are watching - it was late between 8 and 10 in the night - he kept looking up - where our window was over looking them, trying to see whom is watching.....in that time we didn't talk- we were 4 children in a dark room and a window is slightly open - still no one could see us, except the spirit that was occupying the woman. Year past [i'>that[/i'> night, and I was a teen, there were a closed apartment below us, as the family had this apartment was on long travels, then finally after they managed to have a baby - that's why they were traveling all the time - the baby would stop crying and screaming, it was like someone was hurting the poor thing, after a month or 2, they started having pastors or something visiting their home to do exorcism the entity that was scaring the baby...... one night I was going down on the stairs, strange enough, it was only the floor that apartment below us never ever have a light bulb survive more than 5 min it was like pitch black...[i'>That [/i'> night, mum did send me to get something from the supermarket, I was going down, getting into [i'>that[/i'> pitch black area, only then, I felt it, it was cold and the air got heavy- it was summer in aug in the ME - and felt his heavy breathing on the back left side of my neck, I can't describe how I was close to pee in my paints, and the fact that I know that behind me was the wall of the staircase....it took me a huge effort to act like I did not feel [i'>it[/i'>, that was the only thing in my mind, that it did wanted me to know that it's exist.....I just kept my steps like I was going down normally, couldn't even see my own hand, kept stepping down and felt like I couldn't hear anybody or anything at all, all what was on my mind I need to keep moving and not to stop under any condition... until I past this apartment, his breathing stopped, then the air started to become lighter, and cold and the silence had lifted...... after this, I just ran down until I reached the end of the staircase...I wanted to go back upstairs to my mum, but I was scared...I waited for 5 min, then found the 3 priests or pastors - got no idea - getting out of the building and they looked at me, they said nothing, but I know that they know that I knew. I didn't go to the supermarket, in that time there were no mobile phones, so managed to go to a shop near our home and called mum and told her that someone have to escort me to our home, and I won't come home until someone have to come to that shop and pick me up....it took 1 hour until a family friend come to pick me up and bring a big flash light with him - as I requested from mum. what I did witness in my childhood seen us the children, and it did got out of this woman, and went to the next place was empty and had no resistance to get in: the apartment below us, then when I was a teen I did encounter [i'>IT[/i'> when the family living below us were trying to get it out of their home... Op, this entity is still new and trying to intimidate you and your pets, so it can stay in your home, the more time these entities stay in a place, the harder they will be kicked out, as a result of what I did encounter, that family did leave the place, and closed it down with breaks - they removed the door and replaced it with stones and breaks . As other posters told you to stand your ground and defend your home, this entity had been evacuated from a near-by place or someone, then it did go to the first place that was quite. This is the only explanation I have for you re the why now question. Stand your ground, and defend your home, there are so many useful tips been posted over here.

these were always silver carbonate powder that all silver jewelry shops have it to shine the silver, you can ask them if they can spare some for you. Other ME countries these shops do offer it free if you asked for it, not sure about shops in UAE tho.... Or you can always get the silver polishing from any Spennies or maya supermarket...where the household stuff .... HTH

I was out of UAE the last week, when DH showed me an article stating they have KM topless photos.... I didn't want to see those photos, but did read how they did got these photos in the first place....I don't think this is a freedom of press, it was just someone got himself into private property and helped himself to see something private.... it was like you go to bathroom or shower - which is a very private place - not knowing there is a pervert already did place camera inside to see what you are doing!!!! seeing these photos is simply agreeing on the pervert act of the photographer actions. wither it was KM or a common person, for me it's the same, if it was me; I would go and prosecute any magazine or newspaper have these photos, as the way these photos been taken in the first place is a criminal act. That's why till this moment I did not participate in this crime - looking at these photos - as I will feel that I am accessory in taking these photos..... she was topless of bottomless or nude in her private place it's not of anybody's concern...actually I am so surprised that these photos managed to be published in the first place, it's like blessing of the act of these photographer who did this crime. This is my own opinion, just saying.

GB, you need to stay strong, babies and children can read throw grown ups and can understand things wrong, like my children get sick, and I do cry because I feel sad for them, then they start comforting me telling me they are sorry for being sick.... Yes, there are plenty of doctors who really do not deserve to be doctors in the first place, and I had my share of them, I do remember when one of my children with no reason he had very high temp reaches to 40 C, and nothing else beside it, this did continue for 3 days, and I keep running to hospitals - govt. and private - and no one can give me and adequate reason why he is having this high temp. and on one stage I did have a fight with the PRO in a hospital, and doctors keep telling me he is okay, each one gives me a big list of meds, and nothing help, I do remember in that time I was working and coming home to care for him, I didn't have a maid, or family, only agency nanny and she goes home...I do remember I stayed up with no sleep for 3 days, DH was on travel in that time, I could chop off my head from the sleep deprivation, and and monitoring my baby in that time to reduce his temp, as it can sky rocket up any moment....I did spent 3 days in h*ll and come back, which shaken my ability to trust doctors over here....I feel your pain and know what you are going throw, so stay strong and keep looking after your child, I know some time internet do have some good health advices when it come to minor things... Kia-Kaha (Stay strong) you can do it, and you will pass it... chin up, and try to get some sleep, as you need to go to the hospital later on, have a shower, take some snacks with you to hospital.... your baby will be fine. A big hug and positive thoughts going toward you now, and a prayer as well.

"Revenge" is an AWESOME show. I love it!!!! I DVR it because I can't stay awake! Nolan is my favorite character. :-) Oh I do love Nolan, and more of the cold nerves Emily ( or the real Amanda ) I was hooked on S1, and keep waiting for it...last month OSN did air the show daily (S1).. now I am waiting for S2 to start....by the way S1 ended with the surprise that Amanda's Mum still alive? right? or as usual I did miss it? Gorobattie - most people posting here haven't seen it & I'm half way through watching S1 and you've gone & ruined the end! :O Please add a spoiler alert to youR post ;) Has anyone else noticed that Victoria blinks with one eye? I'm presuming it is our water pump but we have little to no water in our villa, we live in the ranches (Al Reem). We can't get someone,to come and check until Saturday morning! I remember reading somewhere that if we turn something off we might be able to get enough water to flush toilets etc. Can anybody help with info, and does anyone know rough cost of fixing. Oh that reminded me of series of no water that continued for 2 months like what you said...call the LL or the maintenance that LL deal with, tell them that the water bump had shortage that stopped bumping water.... Good Luck, you will need it. ETA: you can fill the toilet flushing box - got no idea what it's name - with the water hose beside the toilet, the hose is lower than another tap, that gravity will naturally fill this tap with water, otherwise fill water from the garden hose as it's the one that is lower and will have more water in because of the gravity.... It sounds like the OP's child was not being that much trouble and the other couple were over reacting. However some months ago I was eating at Sezzam in MOE. We were sitting by the window next to the ski slope and the lovely family behind us were allowing their evil spawn to run up and down the windowsill, right past us so it literally had it's feet on our table as it ran past (the tables are at the same level as the sill). [b'>[u'>Normally in this situation I quietly trip the child up, leaving the parents to deal with a balling child[/u'>[/b'>. But this would have resulted in it falling on our table, so after asking them to stop the child and getting nowhere we ended up leaving our table and not finishing our meal. That said in the same place a few months earlier we had some awful tourists leaning over our table to take photos of the ski slope as we were eating. Then when I politely asked them to stop doing that as we were trying to eat our meal and having strange people leaning over us was quite disconcerting they got really rude and abusive. I wish in Dubai they could employ less Filipino staff and more Arab staff that would perhaps feel safe in throwing out irresponsible or rude people. With the racial class system here is seems people working in the service industry are too afraid to say anything to customers that would not get away with this kind of behaviour elsewhere. Speaking of the ski slope they could also do with some ski patrol to throw out those dangerous out of control skiers that could so easily cause a serious injury to a child or a beginner. Hahaha...that reminded me of a situation happened to me when I was a kid, I was like 11 or 12, in that time my family used our car to travel, that time it was a boarder check point between saudi and jordan, for a reason belong to saudi and jordan they let the travelers to exit saudi but not entering jordan, so 3 kilometers jam packed with cars between the boarders, that situation started from 11 am until sunset....in that time every body in the cars, engines off and doors open, another car near ours their little devil - I think he was 7 or 8 years old - he kept annoying me, peeking his head inside the car, and him mother not caring about that we are as well annoyed just like her.... I talked to him that: no, he didn't care, he just kept doing it- poking his head inside and making annoying voices just to scare me - then I just waited for the right moment that this boy was just near me enough, then with a surprise to him, I did his face cheek(spl?) him with the back of my hand that made him bounce and hit his other cheek in our car..... then he started crying and went to his mum and told her that I did hit him....his mum did nothing, and that was the last time I hear or see this boy.....before anybody jump on me, I was only 11 or 12 years old.....lol actually every time I remember this, I keep laughing, again when I think about it, his mum did brought this to him by not telling him off, and ignoring what is going on...from that I did took my moral lessons: never ever leave my children act this way...otherwise they will face what this boy had, then I wouldn't forgive myself if any body hurt my sweet little boys....I know children are children but mother do HAVE to intervene when their little ones are acting badly...not only mother fathers as well, but I say mothers as the majority have their mother are the sole caregivers in this region.

My Mum took me out of school for the day, we went shopping for clothes and grown up face cleansing/moisturising stuff and lunch. I felt very special and grown up. It was just the two of us. WOW! I wish my mother did that to me!!! unfortunately I do not have DD, but do have a step D.... so this will help me and her having this time to relax her and welcome her into her new stag of life :)

next time someone says something like that, just ignore them... those 50/60 years old couple I assume they forgot about having children ages ago....or just they did not have the bless of having them in the first place.... When I was working at airline business, used to have all sorts of people who travel Business class or First class, they keep complaining about why and why airlines allowed children to be in these classes, at one stage there were 2 german couple they were fussy about their seats, kept changing their seats in business class, and the man pointed out what was that seat, I told him it was a bassinet seat, then he started acting crazy, with his limited english he started saying: me flying and waaaaa ( mimicking the baby voice ) I just wanted to burst laughing at him, instead I just smiled... then he kept doing this until I told him there is nothing to be done except if he is willing to buy this extra seat to stop any parents from having it, and it could be children in this class, and this is out of my hand.... seriously there are weirdoes every where, but again like another poster said, some people just have their head hot, once they step a foot in this country..... I know children could be noisy, but they are children, not saying this as I am a parent, again from my past experience when I used to work and before I have children, people who do this type of comments, I wish they really do this with a local family....then they will really know their real size.

I will be coming to Dubai soon to attend a course and this will be the first time I will be staying in a hotel by myself. The ladies on the Qatar forum have given some great ideas to help me try to reduce my nervousness. I am hoping some of you may share your experiences of staying single in hotels in Dubai and any suggestions on how to keep myself out of trouble. I am getting a traveler's lock with me as I doubt I would sleep through the night without it. Thanks. - Thread Hijack- Sorry to say, needing a lock is a must in Saudi not Dubai....An airline ( Cathay Pacific ) did have this kind of attacks of female stewards.... after that Cathay Pacific do not have their crew under any circumstances to have layover in any saudi destination, they fly them to bahrain to have their layover.... - Back to the thread - I did not stay alone in a hotel room in dubai before, but to stay away from trouble is easy, when you drink stay inside the hotel, and drink with safe friend .... Other ladies may have better inputs than mine....apart from that enjoy your time in Dubai :)

I do buy the frozen chicken as they are bigger and it's in one piece!! No kidding! have you buy the fresh chicken in C4? what ever I buy, I always find these poor chicken had suffered serious injuries that it's bones is already fractured in several places and it's wings are already ripped out of it's joints.....I refuse to eat something did suffer that much before it die....if I eat something suffered like that, it de-human me, and make me just a beast and I am not suppose to cook it....just eat it row..... really this what make you think Halal or not? Of course these chicken are not halal if they suffered before it die so it's not halal anymore. Just out of curiosity, how do you know that these "injuries" occurred before death and not after, during the plucking and packing stages? The blood ....there is hemorrhage that is inside the flesh which indicate these injuries occur while the chicken still alive.....if the cut was with no blood spreading out inside the flesh, that means it happen after killing the chicken. These were so many times I did see this hemorrhage mostly in wings and the area around the chicken neck....that means these poor things did suffer slow death and not fast and swift....which make these chicken not Halal anymore.
