Hi Tartiflette, I would agree with everything JohJoh has said. My DD will also be starting DESS in Sept and we live in the Arabian Ranches, we love the community and are very happy here. There are a lot of children going to DESS from Ranches and we are already in a carpool for September. Good Luck!

FYI my DD's nursery is promoting Drive Safely Week, we have been given posters and stickers with the slogan 'Buckle up in the back' the information given is all about child safety and the dangers of not wearing seat belts. So some people are trying. Edited to add look/join/like the facebook page - Buckle up in the back Dubai! edited by Jussie on 15/03/2011

Sorry to read this clairehdp. We also live in AR and both of our cats at one time or another have hid underneath the sink. Not sure if your villa is the same but, we have a built in sink and toilet and they have got up inside there and I actually could not get one of them out for a good six hours. I only found her by shining a torch into the space that reflected in her eyes as she was sick and did not meow! Just a thought and might be worth a check. I would also agree with the posters that have mentioned offering rewards as that has worked for us in the past. Good luck to you.

Same here! I have had it since Thursday and as of last night my fever broke and the aching body stopped. the only thing that worked was the Paracetemol and Nurofen as prescribed by the pharmacy. I now just feel absolutely exhausted and dizzy. Could really do without it as my children are 3 and 1 so its not been fun. Good luck and get well soon.

This thread has had me in a spin all morning as, I am sure it has with many others! It really does play on our worst fears. I pray that the little boy is safe and well and has been found. This will serve as a reminder to me that stranger danger is of huge importance to my children and the 'safe' feeling I have living here in DXB can at any moment be shattered. Hoping we get a good news update very soon.
