Oh Hun. I can sympathize. DH was the same with our first DS. And so I struggled along and just put up with the unhappy, crying baby. This time round I put my foot down, and I'm so so happy I did. I am able to enjoy my baby, which I'm not sure I can say about my first DS, obviously I loved him, but he was just always crying and fusing and I was constantly stressed. When my first few weeks with DS2 started out the same way, I knew I had to do something and I booked in and told DH later. If u want to chat further, pls email me on [email protected]

It I very gentle. DS actually fell asleep through one of the sessions. She basically feels their skull and gently places pressure on certain areas that need shifting/manipulating. The then did his back and neck and tummy and in the last session did his legs too by gently applying pressure. The number of sessions probably depends on the severity of the problem? May I ask why you are considering it for your DD? I think it was 300 or 350 per session. I can double check and get back to you. She explained that with adults it takes much longer to sort things out but that babies respond really well and can be sorted out in as little as 1 session. She suggested we booked a second session a week after the first one and then at the second one she discussed with us whether we felt the treatment was working or not and whether we would like another session or not. We decided to go for the third one as I wa determined not to have to mediate DS for the reflux, and I'm so glad I did cos after the third session hes been brilliant. Although already after the first session I could see a change. Before the first session he would always only look to his right side...after the first one he was a little better and after the second he was moving his neck freely from side to side so I'd say that took 2 sessions. Can't really comment on the skull as that wasn't visible, but he did seem more content after just 1 session. We are going back in a few days for a follow up, a month since his last session. Like I say, it worked wonders for us and I would highly reccomend Lauren. HTH

I bath my DS's in vodka. They love it, and so do I as they sleep like logs after a nice long soak;-) Take it you drink the vodka to clear the bath out as well! How'd you know? Was that you peeping through my bathroom window the other evening?

We used Future Health for our boys. Used them in 2007 and again in 2010. Although their reps in Dubai have changed and were not as knowledgable and efficient as they were 3 years ago. We are still happy we chose them. The correspondence with headoffice has been spot on and very proffessional. We saw it as an insurance. Something you hope never to have to use, but if the unthinkable happens and you need it, you've got it.

Dollymud, I have loads of sleep books. Ranging from Dr Ferber to Dr Sears and everything inbetween. You're more then welcome to borrow them. Second time round I've decided to relax and ignore the books and do what I FEEL is right. DS 1 who's 3 still wakes up at night, DS 2 just did 12 straight hours last night, had a feed and thn did another 2 hours... Every child is different and should be treated according to what you FEEL would suit them. My 2 fils worth. Lol. Shout If u want the books.

Hi Plumie. Yes, we have seen a huge differenct in DS. She bot only worked on his reflux, but she picked up some other things too and worked on them. After 3 sessions, I saw a HUGE difference. DS is far more content and his reflux improved too meaning we have not had to put him on any meds for it. He still spits up, but is in no pain at all. We took him to Dr Lauren who was just fab with him. She has a wonderful way with babies. If he started getting ratty she'd pick him up and talk to him and at the same time continue to treat him. It was amazing to watch as well. She works in the Mirdif and al Wasl branch at the Dubai Osteo Center.

Funny...think that's exactly why my BIL packed mine, he thought it was for his BB. We're an iPhone family though I'm afraid, so no BB chargers lurking around :-(

Oh dear. What a big mistake for them to make. Let us know how you get on. Still BF and I'm using Dr Browns bottles, just checked them and they are fine. Something I'm sure most mums wouldn't even dream of checking so it's good that you have brought this up.

It's a real shame as during the winter months it was one of our favourite places to go. It was never going to last though was it? An outdoor mall in Dubai...??? What were they thinking? I think it could possibly have been ok if they'd kept it smaller and more compact so you didn't have to walk that far. But yes, very sad.

I highly reccomend Luxe Little. I ordered 3 from them just before Xmas and they were delivered within 4 hours of placing the order. Each one was individually wrapped and I was also given 3 gorgeous Christmas cards to use as they had asked if they were gifts in an email a few minutes after the order was placed. Was totally blown away by the service, makes a real nice change compared to the rest of Dubai.

Will keep an eye out for you. We lost our boy 3 months ago...SO i know how you are feeling. Sadly our boy never came home :-( Have you called FF to report her missing. Also go to the municipality vets and ask them if they have picked up any cats of this description in the area. You might have to go take a look at the captured cats yourself, be warned, it's not the best experience but if your baby could be there, it's worth it. FF will also suggest you contact the vets and let them know. I'd do a few flyers and stick them under doors/gates car windscreens. Also knock on neighbours doors. Go out late in the evening when it's quiet and shake her food and call. Paying special attention to the electrical boxes - cats often hide out in them. Good luck!
