Let's just put it this way irrespective of the pet you have, be it a feline, canine or whatever they love you unconditionally just as you do but you cannot predict their moods and if you are going to tease them then be prepared for the worst ha ha.....

The only reason I find it repulsing is being a vegetarian by choice since the last 15 odd years, I have never looked back though I cook for the hard-core meat eaters at home (no choice) lol !!!!

I'm surprised Sarahlou123 was banned earlier, as I find her ever helpful and sensible like A Rancher ( no offence to others)

Nobody is doubting your good intentions here Verdique, It's just that all are concerned about you. By giving her a patient hearing itself, you have done a great deed. The most you can do, just as all the ladies have suggested here, contact the POLO or drive her down to the Consulate and let them do the rest.

In case you are still experiencing the redness or itchiness try calming your skin with Lacto -calamine lotion, it's pretty effective. I went through a similar situation a few days back, when I used a serum from NO 7 though it's supposed to be Hypo-allergenic my skin re-acted very badly to it. This lotion helped me immensely.

Whatever the reasons might be, the owner was very wrong in handing over the doggies to the Municipality. He could have given the couple an ultimatum or approached an animal organisation, if he was a real animal lover, which he claims to be. I'm pretty sure he would'nt have done the same if it was a breed dog. As for the couple, I would say they need to be appreciated for taking in rescue dogs (how many of us actually do that) re-homing them would have meant giving them up forever, which they did'nt want. It's purely circumstances which have forced them to put the poor creatures in a kennel.I agree with Nath.. nothing justifies killing..

In my opinion.. yes.. compassion can be taught, it starts at home these values need to be instilled by the parents to the child at an young age itself as this will make the child go a long way in becoming a better person whereas empathy is inborn and not many are emphathetic by nature especially when it comes to animals.

It's just beyond my understanding why would anyone resort to such cruel and wicked acts just to get rid of cats, won't a spray of water work???? after all they are (lovable) CATS and not some dangerous wild animal to be scared off.

I did mention about this just a few days back, anyway for yr info , I went through this a few months back, very painful to say the least, met an Orthopaedic was put on medications and Physio-therapy which I continued for about 3 weeks. I got over it as it was in the initial stages. So my suggestion would be see a Dr. immediately coz the more you delay the more rigid yr muscles become.

I experienced this pain a few months back, was diagonised as frozen shoulders by an Ortho-paedic, who later put me on to a Physio-therapist, along with medications. Now I'm perfectly fine.

All your queries seem to have been answered by Tigerente but would like to add a thing or two, as far as the costs are concerned, it varies from each clinic and as for the balcony though its safer to use the net as suggested by Tigerente, fortunately my boy is very intellegent so my balcony is always open, he was around the same age as yrs when I picked him up now he is 3, yes... I am prepared for the brick-bats from the cat lovers out there.....

From what I gather, the new law stipulates that those who work in Abu-dhabhi have... to compulsorily live in AD, possibly that could be one reason for this sudden exodus from Dubai!!!!!! correct me if I am wrong....

Wadi shab in muscat is a place, you must visit if you love photography , hiking & swimming. Though it was hot, we cherished every minute of it, just returned yest, but a word of warning its not for people with small kids coz you really have to trek a long distance.

Well... my patience is running out, I have been making repeated calls and sending mails but no solution seems to be in sight. In spite of paying for the services ur treated like a pest. My last resort would be to approach the consumer court, though it's a very small amount it's a question of principles. Thanks Sprinkles 17 for your suggestion
