Hey Debbiech- btw fyi i got a mailer from Sri lankan Airlines with airfares to BKK starting from 1300 from Dubai- not sure of the T&C's though. Maybe you can check it out. You can always fly air asia internally from bkk to any of the other places.

Hi Starry Eyed... I got mine from Magrudys at DFC. It's called the Ktwo wedding planner. From ktwo products.com. They were out if stock but got it ordered for me. Came in very handy- separate sections for dress/ invites/ reception/ honeymoon etc... And also had little zip lock sort of pockets to hold stuff inside. Can't remember but I think it was around Aed. 150 I think.

Thank you, ladies! Very useful information. Where do I start looking for the cheapest/more economical car finance companies? Also is there a resource available on driving rules in the UAE? Hey Keyamom....actually if you are buying the car from a car dealership they generally have their own finance guys from different banks who can give you the loan, best is also to check with the bank you will bank with as well for better rates. Current rates are around 2.99%. I'm planning on buying a car as well and came across this website souqalalmal.com they have details on all finance options available -might be of help. On driving rules not sure mayb check the Dubai police website or Dubai.ae

Lucky you.. This 50 dhs transfr thing ws told to me only yesterday if not I wouldve also preffered going to a mall to get it done in the first place.The mall staff seem abit more consumer friendly too.I guess weekdays mornings are much better but I culdnt getaway from work.. Oh well..

Hi Nina any Home Insurance policy can cover your Buildings damage due to flood/fire etc and also your liability towards the public/tenant etc.. as long as you own the building. RSA/AIG/AXA/ZURICH all have policies that cover this. Best is to speak to a broker who can give you a comparison so you can choose.I work in insurance as well soo let me know if you have any queries.

Hi Whites- I just picked up 2 iphones for a friend in Qatar -its expensive there. I got it from Gadget Rain-its an online site but accept only cash on delivery. Paid Aed.3150 for 32GB including Facetime. Best is I placed the order at past 12 midnight and it was delivered to me by 4pm the next day! Souqdotcom also has similar deals. Etisalat/apple store has it for Aed.2999 but without facetime.
