What do you mean exactly by 'cannot stand the heat'? I used to drive a 307CC and the only issue I had with it was that the wire which supported the windows (to automatically open / close them) would snap every 9-10 months and I'd have to get the entire mechanism replaced. Although I loved the car, spending 2K on each window every 9 months to get the mechanisms replaced wasn't worth it.

Being a vegetarian, I have limited choices when it comes to eating there - But I've always had a good experience. The food is great and so are the desserts :D

Try selecting 'Keep Source Formatting' after you paste it onto the new excel sheet. Eitherways, it's pretty easy for your friend to change the date format back to the one he wants. Just select it from Format Cells and then save. edited by Lady_SilverX on 11/08/2011

Also, Argan oil is something I cannot live without!! It's amazinggg. =) Non-greasy so you use it right after you wash your hair...and ur all set to go. Makes the hair so soft n shiny.. I haven't heard of it. Where is it available? You find Argan Oil in Organic Cafe, quite expensive though You can get them at Carrefour for AED30. They come in a set of 3 tiny test-tube kind of bottles. At the shampoo section -I remember it being near the Mane N Tail olive oil shampoo on the bottom shelf.

I like the Label M Organic shampoo. Does this argan oil thing not make the hair look and feel greasy? Eww...can't imagine putting oil in my hair. No its non-greasy. It feels like using one of those hair-shine serums. :)

You could use the Benefit Porefessional for your open pores. (Then you can use medium coverage foundation over it).

I just checked some old posts and somebody mentioned that there is a police station in the Dubai Mall. Is that true and when yes where exactly is it? Thanks again! I think I saw one near the Waitrose entrance area in the Ground parking level.

Use the Fekkai Protein FX hair mask. You'll find it in Sephora. As for shampoo, I like the Mane 'n Tail Olive Oil Shampoo. http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=15121/Protein_RX_Anti-Breakage_Treatment_Mask/Frederic_Fekkai/Treatments

I wouldn't know about places to stay, cuz I have a house there... But places to see: Pier 39: Fun place with cute candy stores and has a very festive feel to it. Alcatraz Island: Used to be a high security prison - Now open to tourists. Close to Pier 39. (Watch escape from Alcatraz... good movie) Ghiradelli Square Chocolate factory. SF Zoo: The kids might like it. Crooked Street: The street was so steep they had to make a crooked road on it to prevent cars from sliding off :) Haight-Ashbury / Castro: you must have heard of it Golden gate bridge Twin-Peaks: Amazing view of the city. Also, though not in SF, maybe a 2 hour drive or so: 17 mile drive - very scenic, breathtaking views. There's a six-flags in Vallejo. In San Jose, there's the Winchester Mystery House - rumored to be haunted. You can go for a tour... strange layout. Oh and do go to the Cheese cake factory...amazing cheesecakes :) And Olive garden. Have fun!!! Enjoy your stay =)

I had visited Aroushi salon in Oud Metha, near lamcy a couple of years ago. They were our sponsors for a fashion show and they did my make-up. In my experience, the make-up was well done, but it caused me to break out afterwards. I've always had clear skin. It took over a month for the acne to go away. Their make-up wasn't the most hygienic. I'd suggest you take your own make-up along with you if you want to get it done by them. (The make-up is well done). Having said this, it happened over 2 years ago and maybe it's not the same now. Just thought I'd let you know.

Try clay masks to get rid of the oiliness. The Tea tree mask fro the body shop is good. Even the Rose Formula Antioxidant Facial Mask from Neal's Yard Remedies is really good. Go for a light moisturizer afterwards.

Anyway, that's the ionic hair treatment I went for a couple of years ago. The results were fabulous..but that's about it. It didn't 'repair' the hair in anyway and the effect went away after a couple of washes. Brazilian Keratin Treatment (without formaldehyde) gives better results and it actually repairs the hair up to a point where the hair looks like it was never chemically processed ever. Alternatively, you can use Palmer's products which are great! (you can find them at Carrefour and its really cheap too).

Our friends bought a cake for my DH's b-day in Dubai Mall at the bakery at Bloomingdale's (can't remember the name). It was a red velvet cake and was very very good. I normally don't like shop-bought cakes but this one was very yummy. They can add a message on the top in icing. Magnolia Bakery?
