You've been off sick 11 separate times? I'm not surprised they're charging you for it! since May 2012, not in the same month Were they on separate occasions as that is alot for 7 months? How long have you been with the company for? the company makes you sick ;-) I am working almost 2 years for them

hey everyone, how does it work with sick leave? I am working in JAFZA and my company has deducted all my sick days (11 single days) from my salary. Do you need a docotor's certificate for 1 day sick leave???!!! And on what base they calculate the deduction, only on basic salary or on gross salary (means including housing allowance, car allowance, medical etc.)? Thanks for quick replies! Outside of the FZ then it is 2 days Speak the JAFZA authorities they will be able to tell you Can your HR department not show you the JAFZA labor laws? How many sick days have you had in 1 year as i think there is a limit to what you can have? Sorry i couldnt be much help i am familar with outside FZ's only it is 15 days with full renumeration. but the question is if I need a certificate? When starting my period or having wrong food I do not run to the doctor, I better get some rest, no?

thanks. A rest area for cyclists is being constructed. You can read the length of the loop mentioned in previous posts. I thought so. Finally some restrooms out there???!!! :-) On one hand it is great, but on the other it takes away the still so traditional and quite atmosphere out there :-(

I am just waiting for my new bike and then we are ready to go :-) Lokking forward!!! Thanks for building this path, it was a wonderful idea! I am driving quite often along the track, think from the parking to the last roundabout it is aprox. 30kms, correct? And you guys say it is a loop, means when going at the last roundabout direction Bab Al Shams I will be able to make a circuit in the desert and come back to this roundabout? So how long is the whole circuit starting from this roundabout? I was also wondering what construction is going on at this roundabout. Anyone knows? thanks.

That would be for a new bottle. I have called Al Fahidi Gas and they told me a new big bottle is 480AED and refilling 120AED. Anyone knows something cheaper???

Go and buy a good set of ear plus, or try one of those ambient noise machines to try and block out the sounds. edited by Chocs01 on 06/11/2011 what are these ambient noise machines???

You can bargain but they are really cheap! Bout Canna lilies with 5 dhs/pcs, petunias with 15 dhs by dozen> But I buy from the same place for the last 3 years and always in bigger quantities. :) have been there today, great place!!! and yes, you do not really wany to bargain a lot as the prices are really good. I asked for 2 free pots and a small desert rose and got them free. what more do you want!? :-) lovely place!!!

hello everyone, is the plant soul open today and does anyone know the normal opening hours? thanks. Is open 7 days a week, only Friday they start later. I assume you're talking about Warsan souq off the Academic city road. They open very early in the morning and usually is opened till late, been there even around 10 pm. yes, that one. I can bargain there, right?
