If KLM is part of your flight plans contact them directly for pricing and advice. I only fly with KLM with my pets. They are very sympathetic to pet owners in flight and enroute. As for pricing - my babies are worth it to me. I cannot speak for others.

Sorry Servants Quarters, the criticisms I get are from other employers - as you provide (from what you state in your posts) everything - this was not directed at you obviously. However, I stand by my questions and my conscience - if you can stand by yours (which I infer is the case) then there is no reason for you or I to feel guilty or remiss if the maid pulls the "all the other madams" card.

No one can make you feel guilty unless you decide to let them. If you are comfortable answering yes to "do I pay her a competitive/market wage? Does she get what her embassy requires? Am I (MYSELF) comfortable with her compensation? Then you have nothing to feel badly about. To be honest. I'm constantly surprised by the various problems/intriques/song and dances so many seem to go through (I"ve lived in the GCC for 10+ years). Have I had issues? Yes. But have found if I am up front and give reminders on a regular basis as to what I want or expect, I generally get what I want/have paid for. I also take the perspective that if I am worthy of a raise/bonus etc, so is my employee (if she is performing well). However, I have taken criticism for the latter - if she gets a raise the rest will "expect" one too.,

As a teacher in the GCC in institutions for only nationals for the past 10 years, I find it interesting that any GCC country made it as high as they did. A high school leaving student should be able to convert a fraction to a decimal (i.e. 50% to 1/2) fairly easily - as well as be able to calculate in their head what 50% of 200 is - too many can't. That said, there's a lot of students in many other countries who can't do it either.

word to the wise, take your email off your msg (use the word at instead of the symbol) otherwise you may be inundated with spam. I know I've seen the under sink water filters - maybe at jumbo?? but I'm not sure (Jumbo has an outlet at City Centre and the Centre). Humidifiers - try at Boots? They often carry such things in the children's section (or try other pharmacies). Oftentimes, where you would look for things in Europe or North America, they turn up in pharmacies or specialized shops. Hopefully someone can help you out with more specific leads edited by marycatherine on 03/01/2011 If you need to buy a specific brand name, suggest you look into buying online and having delivery via ARamex edited by marycatherine on 03/01/2011

You can say dickhead and idiot without moving your lips!!! Or even with a smile on your face! I have had similar experiences, and for one instance, the situation was just so stupid I started to laugh outloud! The look on the idiot's face was priceless!!

Ranand - you're in the Qatar forum - but perhaps if the OP is really picky they'd be willing to go to Dubai?;)

You mean the vegetable market? If so, it opens early in the morning and is pretty much done by lunch time from my observations.
