Thanks ladies, I thought it was because of autumn but there's another one planted right across from my villa and it's nice and green....I will try fertilizing it, will bring some leaves and a flower to the store. it blooms a nice large lavender color flower...

Just thought I'd share my favorite recipes - Robin Hood is a flour brand popular in Canada. I've tried most of them and they all work great, our favorite is the Rustic Brown Bread. ( click on "more recipes" under whole wheat) http://robinhood.ca/recipe-category.aspx?cid=53 [url=http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php'>[img'>http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-eatdrink026.gif[/img'>[/url'>

Try going to Lulu's - there's a huge department store upstairs, you can find good quality stuff for a great non-mall price. Worth a look.

t's the 11/11/11. Now take the age you are this year and add it to the year you were born? 111 and it works out the same for every one (except for children it comes out at 11!) edited by STILLadviceseeker on 11/11/2011 oh wow thats amazing...[url=http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php'>[img'>http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-shocked032.gif[/img'>[/url'>

Water schmater, Persil is cr*p! Try Tide! Carrefour has it. Rub Vanish on the stains before washing, soak a few mins....voila'. Works for me.

A cycle through the washing machine is enough IMHO. By the way, we have a musical chicken that has been washed about 10 times in the machine and the music is still going strong. Also a run in the dryer in the hottest cycle after that, 30 mins min.

This is one of the reviews on the website, about the green parka (there are more reviews): October 30, 2011Winter Warmer Coat SelectiveOne Location: San Francisco, CAAge: 55–65Gender: FemaleShops at L.L.Bean? OccasionallyWhen did you purchase this item? Within 1 Month I would have given the Winter Warmer Coat 5 stars if the body was fully lined with the plush fleece. I just returned from a 7-day tour of Beijing, China, with my family. I purchased this coat in petite L, purple color, for that trip & for future everyday wear for the SF Bay Area. I am a finicky shopper & I chose this coat because of its qualities. The coat satisfied most of my expectations & most of the details/materials on the coat were right on (except for the body lining). However, I am still happy with my purchase. While in the enormous city of Beijing, the weather there averaged 60F degrees daytime & 42F degrees evenings, with every morning being cold & windy (avg. 45-50F degrees). The coat kept me warm & wind-protected during all 7 days, including on a one-day trip to a town near the Mongolian border (Cheng Du, which is 3-hrs. north of Beijing). Our tour guide did not tell us the weather conditions the night before, so when we arrived in Cheng Du, it was 10 degrees colder, raining, & very windy. Most of the people in my tour group wore lightweight clothing & carried no umbrellas. I only wore a ladies polo shirt, an LL Bean’s fitness fleece quarter zip pullover, and jeans. I was so glad that I brought my Winter Warmer coat with me, because the nylon shell, fleece hood & fleece half-body lining keep me truly warm & dry that day. The purple color was a God-send for my family & some of the people on my tour group. The majority of them wore black or navy blue coats/jackets, so whenever any of them strayed away, they just spotted my purple coat & was able to rejoin the tour. This coat will definitely be suitable for San Francisco's foggy, windy & 60's weather! I would describe myself as: Occasional traveler This item is: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, for full-figured woman

No wonder there are so many stressed out expats in Dubai. So many of you can't even handle how the general population of the region uses the English language? A language is only ever abused, IMO, when native speakers don't use it properly. This thread is just as bad as others like it that have been done before, as it is descending into picking out words that are used colloquially by second and third language users. Sat on my hands before when such threads appeared, not doing it anymore. The thread is about "what word annoys you"....not necessarily "in Dubai".....;) Go through the thread again. ahnn..no? :P

I do find some people just don't think what they are saying and are utterly rude. At the ID recently I had the lady look at my passport and she looked me up and down and then to the passport again, and straight as you like said, " You are fat now maam". I would have paid her on the "same coin" and go "And you are ugly - but I can diet."[url=http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php'>[img'>http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-signs136.gif[/img'>[/url'>

OMYGAWD I forgot about the terrible three's drama....yep, I had two of those. it does get better at around age 4ish. Best thing to do is have a naughty corner/chair/step to calm down. Go down to his/her level and explain why he/she is there, 1 minute per year of age. Then he/she needs to apologize, hug.....aaah.... life is back to normal. Be consistent and you should see rewards on the second week :)

I did this back home and it worked wonders for fruit flies and regular flies, even wasps and bees got in. You can get bait (Ace has them) but I used apple cider vinegar and a couple drops of dish detergent - try also with a ripe sweet fruit, sugary water with dish detergent, used cooking oil, even a few pieces of bacon or sandwich meat - whatever attracts them as they seem to have their preferences!- they will go in the trap but can't get out. Since it's cheap to make them (use an empty PET bottle), I simply throw the whole thing in the garbage when it's full - hide it in the bushes somewhere (not very pleasant to see them...) and watch them slowly dissapear...... http://homemadeflytrap.net/

This link might help (even though not directly related to your case) as it says: " ID Card will not be ready for pick up until issuance of residency visa by relevant entity." So....maybe applying is OK without the visa? I'd call and ask..... http://www.emiratesid.ae/en/process-and-fees/linking-residency-procedures-with-id-card.aspx

Found this online, too bad I only have one nest! LOL!!!!! "An old lady said she had taken a shovel, and took a shovel full of ants and dirt from one ant hill, and put on another ant hill. She did this all around the yard, swapping ants from one hill to another. The ants had a huge ant fight, and killed each other out. I have seen different ants fight with each other. It would be worth a try. And it's cheap entertainment. " How to recognize them in case we want to place bets? Just wanted to share something I've learned from a very experienced pediatrician I had (one of those doctors you feel incredibly comfortable with and knows a lot!!) It has to do with posture while 'going" - (try it yourself first and you'll see how well it works!) Sorry to be a bit too descriptive ( I'll try to do it the best I can!) The correct posture for "going" is, legs in "v", apart, arms placed in front of lower abdomen, not pushing in but forming a support "wall", sorta speak. When the abdomen pushes, it will move out, so the arms are there to give support to the muscles. Works like a charm and less pushing is needed. HTH.

I can recommend this one, 100% natural, smells great and it's not a hassle to use. But you need to comb the hair everyday and (ugh!) remove nits with your fingers as they will not come out with the comb alone. Not sure if they deliver in the UAE but it's worth a google search, as it is sold in many online shops. I've only used it once and it works fantastic. http://www.licebomb.com/web/

YES! Go to the pharmacy and look for ARNICA, sometimes it comes in gel form, or in ointment. Use as directed, if you can apply a heating pad that's even better! It's miraculous and it's a natural product!!! I have already seen it here at the pharmacy in MOE at the parking exit near Du kiosk.
