A blood test is the only way to tell this early how far along you are and a scan should have come after the blood work. Change Dr and just go and ask for them to check your HCG levels and have a scan next week If you have miscarried, just remember it is because there was something wrong with the baby and it is for the best. Also, being so early you have not suffered physical pain and have not been pregnant long mentally. I know it is not nice but could easily be much worse I hope things work out for the best of course. Chin up!

I have had Glambox for 15 months now. I will not be renewing. You fill in a small thing about you and what you like and dont like and they are meant to send you stuff that would be good for you or that might interest you. I have had so much junk and repeat items it is ridiculous. I have had things like whitening cream (I am white skinned) and 3 soaps (from the same company and I am allergic and have specified that) Some items are free samples that you can get and some are bigger and good value (only if you like them) but overall, total waste in my opinion

Year 12 for me - I have 2 friends here which I am close to and have been for most of that time and 2 friends that are overseas that I am still close to that I have been friends with since I got here. Most the rest are fillers I am afraid. Dont get me wrong, I care about them, we have fun and spend time together but if they leave or we leave, I know they wont bother with us or vice versa. I wish them no harm of course but thats how it is...........IMO

So I live in an apartment block and next to it is an empty lot with annoying brats screaming for 18 hours a day, throwing stuff, hitting cars with balls and generally being loud and annoying and it is 2 feet from my building. Who do I call to complain to, the police? What department? Surely not 911?

I dont want to sound rude but have you checked with the mother of your grand child that second hand stuff is ok with her? I (for one) do not want anything second hand for my first child and my mum asked my opinion before she bought anything second hand for her home

She can get a visa no probs. The kids, not so easily if she is married I cannot sponsor my child or my maid under DIFC rules because I have a husband. If my DH has no job or earns less than 5k a month then I can sponsor the maid and kids, otherwise no

Im having Moo at City Hospital with Dr Britt (hopefully, if all goes to plan) and I am due in 23 or 24 days!! Bricking it now to be honest!! Regarding taking the baby away, just tell them no. They will need to weigh and clean little one but they can do that in the room usually but should be no more than 30 minutes, remember, if your baby is healthy then you can tell them what to do, dont let them do anything you dont want them to. Having said that, please dont think these people have no clue about what they are doing or anything like that, they are very good and I have heard nothing but praise from people who have had babies in City. Not so much American but just tell them what you want and make sure you have a detailed birthing plan so when you are not able t otalk so much or your brain is dead, your wishes are expressed in writing and there is no confusion Fat feet lady (sorry, cant remember who wrote about it and cant see on the ipad either), get some flight socks on and raise your legs, might just help you. Also, watch your salt intake, it might be mnaking the swelling worse. My feet went from huge to almost normal over the weekend. Randomly. Hope yours do the same, if not, just wear flip fllops and carry shoes. if you have to pop them on for 5 minutes and then take them off at the table then suck it up ;-0 Baby clothes - I have a ton. Baby grows and outfits. People keep buying them for us which is lovely but I have only bought 3 items myself and it is really annoying me now as I dont want to buy stuff that will go to waste and I have over 100 outfits for Moo already but I want to pick her clothes!! GRRR why are people so kind lol

Morning ladies Having already been to the antenatal classes and spoken to many midwives here, they all say to pack the following for the baby (per outfit) hat short sleeved and no legged all in one (like a leotard if that helps as I know we all use different words for these things) Long sleeved and long legged all in one Socks (only if your long legged all in one has no feet) Mits Also, you need a number of blankets/swaddles and a fair amount of muslin clothes for when baby spits up Hope that helps a bit Moo

Hi Ladies, I have 3 weeks and 6 days to go now - getting a little nervous and have a load of stuff still to do - I am so organised but I just couldnt bare the thought of having everything ready and then sitting around waiting for weeks and week with nothing to do so hoping that I can do bit and bobs until little Moo arrives I have no stretch marks either so I am thinking that maybe they just dont show until after or something?? Oh god I hope not lol Sorry Hiccup but I hate the idea of people naming their kids after themselves. I think it is lazy, conceited and boring. People like to call it tradition but I think that it would be nice for your baby not to be called Tom Jones, son of Tom Jones, who is son of Tom Jones (if that makes sense). Just my opinion though and that counts for nothing :-) Glad to hear everyone is still well and happy! Moo x

We flew to Bangkok and then a short hop flight from there. The travelling time was less than any other way and the cost was very cheap too. The flight timings were great and there were lots of options. We travelled 3 months ago Was this with Emirates? How long is the flight from BGK to Krabi? Thanks Flew Emirates to BKK from DXB and then Bangkok airways I think from BKK which took an hour I guess. Not long at all. There are a ton of airlines that fly from BKK to Krabi - just be careful that they fly from the same terminal and not from the other one at BKK

We take our 2 pugs to Pet's Delight, near Uptown. We live miles away in Bur Dubai but the dogs like the groomer , he does a great job and the girls smell lovely for ages. We took them Saturday and they still smell nice today. Normally, after a day or 2 they smell like dogs again! lol

I would change your doctor for a start! If you are high risk then you should not be commuting and should be working at home or not at all and your Doc should have given you a letter for your employer to that effect. Your hospital should be near your home. When you go into labour, you do not have to go right to the hospital, it can take 12 hours before you are in full and proper labour. You do not sit in the hospital for all that time.

Hi Lyndy and welcome Healthbay is where I have my antenatal classes. Some very recommended staff there. Personally I would rather give birth on the street than at the American hospital. I am not at liberty to go into details annoyingly, lets just say that things there are not very good and the press are not allowed to ever comment so people are blind to any issues. Many people have used American and survived. I picked my Dr and immediately went to City hospital where she works and have been doing that all along so DH and I are familiar with the staff, hospital, local area etc for when the baby decides to arrive. There will be no panickabout anything like that as nothing is new or unamiliar I cannot do coffee mornings as I work but hoping to meet everyone at some post baby cofffee mornings :-)

Afternoon all, Hope everyone is well! Im at week 30 now. Got a scan next week to see Moo and I am so excited, it has been ages since I saw her in November! Not baby related but could you ladies please ask your maids if they know anyone looking for a new job. I have spoken to so many ladies that want the job but they all want too much money, someone else to move in, 2 days weeks (WTF did that happen) and 45 days holiday and stupid things like that! If you hear of a maid, please let me know [email protected] How are you all doing? I am still walking in the baby shops and walking out with nothing, although Moo can come home from the hospital safely and after work tonight she will have somewhere to sleep too! xxx

Hi all, Not much to report really, I just wanted to say happy new year! And what a year this will be. I'm a bit nervous about it all. I have only just started to look at prams/strollers/pushchairs. I had no idea there was so much choice! I found it a little overwhelming. Pinkbutterfly, what did you buy? We still have plenty of time right? I am now 23 weeks. More pressing is my need to buy clothes that fit. I have found my changing body shape quite a challenge. I like it and I'm fascinated by it but it is still a challenge. I am not one of those people who only expand out front. My body is definitely stacking away the acorns for breastfeeding. I am trying to embrace it but it is difficult! So many changes in such a short time. Puberty took longer than this. Anyway, I also vowed not to moan about anything so I am just going to enjoy learning how to best dress my curves. Has anyone heard of diastatis recti? Or separation of the abdominal muscles? That's happening to me. I'd never heard of it! Because the result is weakened stomach muscles it can contribute to back pain. My resolution for the new year is to start yoga/pilates and strengthen the other muscles so that I have a good chance of recovery afterwards. The two halves don't always knit back together. Now I'm wondering what else is in store for me that I had never heard of. I have less than 4 months of discovery to go before the big eye-opener, the birth! I was going to keep this message short. Happy new year everyone! xx Destination Maternity have a great sale on for new clothes :-)
