I checked that and it seems to be on.... Do you have water? We are in Estella - it's a bit late to knock on the neighbours door now to find out if they have the same problem.... :(

Aaah, that explains it. I am in Dubai, so I imagine I can just go back to the Police Station again. What a long and drawn out process for you - I feel for you. So much beauracracy!!! Thanks for your help. XXX

Hi Greenish, Thanks for your response. Why did you have to go to the UAE Embassy? The last time I had mine done I went to the Police Station? Has this now changed? Also, how much did you pay for the certificate and how long did it take? Thanks again... X

I need to get a Police Clearance Certificate done for my new job and as I have already had my fingerprints taken for my last Police Clearance Certificate, I can apply online. I went to do the application online last night and in the Passport Number field it will not accept any letters, only numbers. The problem I have is that my passport starts with a letter, followed by numbers, so I cannot enter it correctly. My husband thinks I should just enter the number, without the letter at the start, however I feel like I am putting an incorrect passport number if I do this. Has anybody applied online and had to put in a passport number that contains letters? What did you do? Leave the letters out? I do need to upload a copy of my passport, so you would think they could check this to see the full number including the letter, however I don't put much faith in that! Any input would be much appreciated!

Hi Clairehdp, I have only just seen your thread as I haven't been on in a while. You poor thing - I have had a cat go missing and it is devastating. Did you follow up further on the food delivery the night she went missing? Was the guy on a motorbike or in a van? Did you go down to where the take away shop is located to see if maybe she jumped in the van and got transported there? Also did you check the areas where the guy did deliveries after your house? My cat got taken away in vans a number of times by accident.... Also make sure you check under all bushes and areas that are shielded around your area. If she got sick often cats hide themselves away under things. Have you also checked the wheelie bins of your neighbours? Perhaps somebody left their bin open and she jumped in? Also on the roof of all buildings in the area - she may have got up on somebody's roof or balcony and not been able to jump down. Also ask your neighbours to check around their workplaces - I found a cat at my work a couple of months ago who had hitchhiked under the chassis of one of my colleagues cars. Trying to rack my brains to think of where else to look...... Good luck and keep us posted. XXX

Hi starfishalicja, We live in Victory Heights and are currently looking for somebody to put turf (grass) in for us. Did you end up having any luck finding a decent landscaping company? Like you we don't want to spend too much...... Any advice would be appreciated. TIA
