"Severn Periods with Mr Gormsby' - the single most funniest show (two series) I have come across. From NZ. Very politically incorrect. From the US - "United States of Tara". Again, two series. Toni Collette playing wife and mother with mutilple personalities. Has won lots of awards. Both funny and tocuhing.

I've taken both my Kia and DH's Merc in there for various things like batteries and brake pads, and each time they've looked the price up in a book (reassuring!) and havent tried to upsell anything.

Good to hear about the price of tyres Pinks...i am due some in August. They were from the Fast Track garage at the Emarat petrol station just before Time Sq if that helps - I've always found the guys in there VERY helpful, quick, and good value - never any BS like at some places!

Did some Kia research just over a year ago - couldn't find much difference at all between the Sorento or Sportage (bought a Sportage in the end as there was more choice on Dubizzle at the time) and have been very pleased ever since, especially the with pricing for servicing, parts and tyres. I use the dealership for servicing and have found them to be very good - I think I paid AED 700 for the last (non major) service, including engine flushing, and new tyres last week (Michelins) were 600 each. The only negative comment I could find about either car was that the gas tank could be bigger... I have to agree, but that's only because I drive to AD every day and have to therefore fill up twice a week. Would I buy the same car again? Definitely, unless my budget were bigger!

Hi Lucy - what's your timeframe? I might be able to help!

Agree with the others re the timing - 1 hour 10 to 1 hour 30 depending on traffic and what time you need to leave / get there. What are your contracted hours? I was having to go there 2/3 days a week working 8-6, and it was a complete killer - absolutely hated it. However, I've just started a new job (admittedly based at AD airport so a bit closer) and because I'm now working 8-4 (8-5 worst case), I'm home before I would have finished work if I had taken the jobs I was offered in Dubai. I dont have cruise control on my car, I drive sensibly and safely, but am now a complete podcast addict (thank you BBC and Stephen Fry!!) and the journey seems to fly by. For me the desicion was financial - I know it's not going to be for ever, and hence I can deal with it.

They do! Just ask for a micro SIM and it will be live with your old number quickly - they say it takes up to 2 hours but mine was 20 mins.

Dubai London clinic do them at Festival city branch as part of well woman clinic, the radiographer is excellent, results are read instantly. Also someone posted this link, havn't used it but if i had an issue i would be wanting to see a breast surgeon like this one. http://www.wellwomanclinic.ae/team_kazim.html Having found a lump a few months ago, I can thoroughly recommend Dr Kazim - she also works with a superb SA breast radiologist at Cty Hospital, Dr Alex (who did my biopsy) - both amazing women and the type that make you feel calm and completely looked after the minute you meet them. Can't recommend them highly enough

We drove down on the offchance, and for a Dubai event, it was incredibly well organised, from the parking to the super opening ceremony - an hour and a half of fireworks, acrobatic displays (plane was covered on one side with lights) and cirque-de-soleil type entertainers. Superb free evening out!

Yes, have done it at a 'pop up' unit at work last year. Very impressed with the hygiene and efficency after the UK!

Chimes - yum yum! Havent got details to hand, but do a search as there's been lots of good reviews about it on here. It's 'Southest Asian', but they do cracking Chinese dishes.

Definitely whilst cooking dinner - maximum effect on empty stomach! ;) I generally then have some left in my glass to have with my meal.
