My daughter is a first yr student at Bath University. She did A levels at JC. She has friends that went to Kent, Bangor, Leeds, Stirling, St Andrews, Cardiff - all over the UK I guess and some went overseas.

Thanks for the link to Kiva - Dan Lou and 0rulz0. I think this is a great way of helping others to help themselves. And especially as it is International Women's Day today I made a donation to a group of women through the site.

parking can be a challenge but if you are going earlish and are prepared to walk from over the road - ie over the pedestrian bridge you can usually find parking over that side. Make sure you work out which way the sun is and sit on the shady side of the stadium with the little one.

when in the classified section and you click on email advertiser - it takes you to the expatwoman under construction page instead of emailing so there is no way of getting in contact with the advertiser if they haven't left their phone no!!

you can download it as long as you don't download it from the official skyoe site. So google it and download from a different download site.

I have a bar which has three pieces of glass on the top (recessed in). one of the pieces got broken in a move and I haven't got round to replacing it - anyone know where i could go for this? I guess best thing would be to take one of the pieces with me to match thickness etc.

I was there a few days ago and there were 7 or 8 shops that had been closed by the municipality. Makes you wonder how they pick who to shut down as they are pretty much all selling fakes!!

bingo - i did it through expedia and it was £16 cheaper than direct with emirates. Slight hiccup as it wouldn't take my uae cc but my uk one worked ok!

The emirates site says if you are not a traveller you can't book online with a credit card. Maybe when you put in your name for payment and its not the same as the traveller it stops. I have never been asked to show my cc when travelling. I have a look and see if i can do it through expedia or ebookers rather than direct with emirates.

am gutted - i didn't go and play tennis this morning specially so I could get my tickets online and although I was there online at 10 am didn't manage to get mens tickets for qtrs, semis or finals. Just kept getting error messages. Gave up and then tried women's ten minutes later and got semi finals. Then managed to get day 3 mens. Not happy.

holly can't you import on the mac with imovie. Just plug in camera and see if imovie recognises it. I can do this with my camera. then its easy.

andi-diver - as you seem to be a mac and video expert can I ask you a question. I have a new sony hd camcorder and i want to upload onto my mac to then use imovie to edit the film. However i think that the format of the video is wrong for the imovie. Do you know an easy way to convert it? Thanks in advance!

we went on our roof and could see fireworks all around. The ones at the Burj Al Arab were the most impressive - very colourful and went on for a lot longer than the rest.
