The Santa at Festival City is lovely, you can sit in his sleigh with him ... An adult lady had her photo taken with him yesterday just after my son had his. Someone would have to take the photo for you though, they don't have someone taking photos as far as I know.

I collected my card in April, all my details were incorrect. I went back to the Emirates ID office, it didn't cost anything to update, they took the incorrect card and said I would get an sms in 2 days to collect the reprinted card. I am still waiting. I have been back to the office at least 4 times with my proof of re-application, they have no record of my visit and each time say someone will call me back to advise what is happening. I have phoned and emailed too to no avail. They photocopy my form each time and thats it. I guess I am going to have to pay the full amount again to have this reissued :-(

Hi all, A stray cat was taken away by the municipality today, they left her kitten behind in the parking lot at the Arabian Centre in Mirdif. We phoned every shelter we could, all are full, and the two vets we phoned said our only option was to put her down. So I have brought her home and am trying to find her a home. I would keep her without a second thought if I didn't already have 3 cats. Please could you all ask around, maybe there is someone who would love to have her. She is ginger and white and about 5 weeks old. She has oodles of personality, and Im happy to get all her shots etc done. I know there are hundreds of kittens looking for homes, but maybe we'll get lucky with this little cutie.

Bryanston is a lovely area, great suburb and good shops. Be sure to go to the Nicolway shopping centre once you are there :-) Which schools have you contacted? There is a Cambridge in Bryanston.

Im from Fourways so if there is anything specific you want to know please ask. I would only look at Fourways Gardens, Dainfern, Cedar Lakes if you are going to be working fairly close by. If you or your husband is going to be working in Sandton, traffic is a nightmare. I used to leave home at 5:45am just so that I would miss the traffic. We lived 12km from work, if I left after 6:20am it could take over an hour and a half to get there. I wouldn't send my son to any of the government/model C [u'>high [/u'>schools in the area (there are some fantastic primary schools). I feel they are oversubscribed and the standard isn't great. There are a number of really lovely private schools though, Heron Bridge, St Peters College to name but 2. Good luck with your move. Im sure you are going to be very happy. I miss Joburg a lot. edited by RSAgirl on 29/05/2012
