Sorry for the late reply, Thank you so much for your posts I really appreciate it, We re on holiday right now but I will definitely look into these two places when we get back, Notepad: we have moved her to a new school starting next term, we have nt informed them as yet, we were nt sure if it was a good idea or not as her previous school were aware of the situation & really did nothing to help, she was bullied over & over which is why we decided to move her, We re hoping this makes a difference but you might be right about letting them know too, I ll definitely talk it over with her, Thanks again xx

Hi ladies, Could any of you recommend a good dr for a teenage girl? My step daughter is 13 & is having a lot of problems with mood swings, hurting herself & generally feeling really low, She is seeing a therapist but always sees a different dr every time her parents take her to the clinic, I thought it might be a good idea for her to see someone regularly, who she can trust, Do any of you have any ideas? Recommendation s for GP & therapists would be really helpfull, Thanks x

Hi, so sorry to hear ur feeling this way, I ve been battling with depression & anxiety disorder for most of my life, with years of feeling fine & then times of real lows for no apparent reason so I know exactly what ur going through, Since moving to Dubai I have been going to the Dubai community health centre, where I see dr Amer or Dr Magda if u prefer a female, they are both psychiatrists and can help u out with medication and also point u in the right direction of various types of therapy that are available, If you have medical insurance here then it might be cheaper to have a GP refer you there, otherwise I think it's worth the money just to make an appointment, there's nothing worse than feeling this way, I hope this helps, If you need to talk more about it I can give u my private email, just let me know, Hope you feel better soon

These kinds of things are only happening in certain parts of the UK, mainly English cities like Birmingham and London where there are large populations of ethnic minorities who try to throw their weight about. I'm at home in Scotland. We did have a few issues in our local school where Muslim parents objected to their children being "subjected" to Christmas based activities. They were told in no uncertain terms that they were not going to change the curriculum to suit a small handful of children. They were not expected to take part in the church service or school nativity play but were objecting to making decorations. (I have 2 friends who are teachers in this school) Romanian gypsies selling the Big Issue were removed from the High street in Stirling as they were being subjected to so much verbal abuse! One of these women was a large feisty loud female who was very rude if you ignored her. I'd certainly have something to say if some immigrant told me how to behave in my own country! edited by Scottishbambi on 07/03/2014

You can get Batiste from boots, it's a dry shampoo, they have lots of different kinds & also a volumising one which is very good :)
