The one in Arabian Center has closed. There is one in Rashidiya near the police station. Also in in Al Warqaa but not sure about location. Even one in Al Mizhar 2 in the Aswaaq Center.

Thank you october, suze63 and Goldeelocks for your suggestions. I will try to contact Andrew Picken. Need to get my son to the stage where he can see that's he's got some weight to shed. I think once he sees it himself he will want to do something about it. Suze63 I am glad to hear about your DDs success story.

May I ask...are you and DH overweight? Good for you for trying to sort it out as well...an objective view will certainly help, he may listen to a nutritionist but also he may well look to his parents for inspiration. My DH and I are both normal weight. We exercise moderately and try to eat healthily. I prepare healthy lunch and dinners. Who knows what he is able to get his hands on at school and out with friends? Problem is he won't listen to us. He doesn't regard himself as overweight. My concern is that if we let him have his way, he will steadily gain which might lead to health problems later on. I was kind of hoping that he would enter a growth spurt and thus even out the weight. But I am not sure that will be the case... Help!

I am having a terrible time reasoning with my almost 13 year old son. He has a BMI of 23.5 which according to child health websites is overweight. He also looks overweight to us. However, he appears to be in complete denial. He does not like exercise and tends to overeat. I really think we're at the stage where we need a professional to have a talk with him. I know he is not severely overweight but I feel it's my duty as a parent to guide and help him to be healthy. Really hope some of you can give some good advice.

Thanks all. I think Deepaks only sell garment fabrics though. I haven't been able to find pure silk in Dragonmart. Checked around Bur Dubai and the cheapest I've found is Dhs 65 per yard. would like to find something cheaper. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

She will get in trouble herself is she reports the maid. Your friend has acted illegally by hiring her under someone else's sponsorship.

We've just been informed too that we have to pay a re-registration fee of Dhs 2000 before end of next week! It's outrageous, it can't be legal. What are the exact guidelines? I thought it was maximum Dhs 500. Schools are taking advantage of us this year because they can't increase the fees. Taking outrageous fees gives them an interest free loan. I am furious! Someone please help me with the legal stuff as we haven't budgeted for this and we are paying ourselves for our children's education. Thank you!

And sadly Organic Cafe don't make it anymore, only by special order. Anyone know where it can be bought off the shelf?

Magic erasers (available in most supermarkets) are great but you still need elbow grease. The negative aspect though is that you will need to use quite a few as they wear out quickly.

Good evening all :-) Anyone here in the know as to where we can watch programs from OWN (Oprah's new network)? She's always talking about all the exciting programs that will be shown and I am dying to see some of it.
