Thanks faifunghi, it's really difficult to find out this type of information without going to see each and every dr, and then it's $$$ for each and every appointment, was really hoping to find someone on here who recommends a dr who does this out here. Anyone else? Simpsons, scroll down on this thread. I think you may be referring to the earlier posts from Bianca72? I had 2 c-sections both done by the same dr here in Dubai (Dr. Ulrich Honemeyer at Welcare Hospital). I couldnt be happier. My scar is hardly visible, he cut into the same line both times. Recovery was quick and my scar is hardly visible and have no pouch which I have seen my SIL's have after their multiple c-secstions. Good luck... Thanks ss123, however it was definitely a different thread I read it on. I think the dr Bianca 72 used is only delivering at medcare from what I can find out.

Dr dawn did my 2nd c section and cut above the 1st scar, must have got her on a bad day! She is no longer here though beacuse she did say when I had my 3rd she would excise both scars and leave me with one.

I'm about to have my 3rd c section, my 1st scar was amazing 3 ins long-done in UK. The 2nd one done here was done 2mm above the first scar and around 1 inch longer each side and I was left with a 'pouch' above which no matter how much exercise I did I couldn't get rid of it and I'm only 8 stone so it wasn't fat. So with this one I want to find an ob/gyne who will remove this pouch and both scars and leave me with one neat scar, has anyone had this done and is it possible? My dr said she would only go through one of the existing scars, so now I'm looking for other drs who may be willing to remove the old one? Do you mean a mini- tummy tuck when you have the c-section? Not sure if this is really allowed. You hear of Hollywood stars having this done but in practice I am not sure it happens........I might be wrong of course. I don't think it would be classed as a mini tummy tuck, I just remember reading on here one of the ladies said she had some extra skin removed on her 3rd c section and scar neatened up etc...can't find the thread though so don't know which dr it was! Hoping said lady will come forward and shed some light!

No. I don't think so. For one thing, a large part of the economy of the UAE was based on real estate development - that market has not returned and won't return any time soon. It will take years for the UAE to structurally adjust. Second, the world economy is about to take another major hit with oil prices skyrocketing again. Because the UAE is tied to the the US through its fixed currency, this will negatively affect the UAE as well. Third, as I've mentioned even before the recent unrest and subsequent oil price rises, inflation is going to be a huge factor this year. It's going to make the UAE unlivable for a number of people and miserable for even more - leading to more defaults, lower rents again and the spiral will continue. It is going to be a very difficult year for the UAE. Guiness, lower rents where? We have just been gazumped in an offer on a villa, someone offered 10k more than the asking price! Rents are definitely NOT going down at the moment, maybe in the apt market but villas are holding price/creeping up.

Cleopatras at wafi has a male masseuse who is apparently great for men as he's really strong, give them a call and see if they have any male packages there.

I have had this exact problem, mine expired last year before summer and I couldn't renew it and therefore couldn't drive when I went home! I still haven't been able to renew it because I live here, what is the solution for this, such a pain!

DebsDebs, alarm bells would be ringing with me too. If you don't feel comfortable with the nursery can you change? Which one is this? I thought Willow was the best one I looked at for a tiny baby, it felt really 'safe'.

Aw Sarah, yes it's really hard to begin with and it took me ages to settle in, I think it does for most people initially to be honest. How about the mums in your kids class? Why not send a collective e mail to suggest a play date at a park after school one day? It's a start at least!

Anyone got anything to reply? Please ladies I could really use your advice or experience on this v.important decision Thanks I have just been through this process but for an older child than 6 months and the only nursery I think I would of felt comfortable leaving my 6 month old with (if I had to leave a 6 month old) would be willow. It is in Umm Sequim, just past the small choitrams do a u turn onto street 9. Saying that, is there no nursery close to the springs that accept baby ages as you will find it takes you an extra 40 mins to do the drop off I think.

Hi ladies, thanks! I finally tracked my delivery guy down, dh was fuming as he offered no plausible explanation! The delivery guy told my husband he didn't like delivering shirts any more! Anyway it was laundry junction on the plastic, so won't be using them again in a hurry! Got them back but they smelt a bit funny.

It has: 056 135 8778 on it, scribbled in pen on the front, but nothing close to the marina apart from Dubai Dry Cleaning Services, Jumeirah 04 344 8177, but I'm guessing that that is probably a cleaners in Jumeirah who are affiliated with DL, but have no idea as haven't ever used either of them. Hope you find them. I would have one very unhappy DH if his work shirts went missing. He spends a fortune on them! Thanks alot, I will try this in the morning!

Hmmm... Fingers crossed you get them back soon. Thanks! It's not like they are valuable just work shirts, was just interested to see if anyone else has had the same experience of the company, maybe the man was sick last week and not doing the deliveries. I've used them for 5 years and only once was a suit a day late coming back - other than that have had faultless service and I always recommend them. Have just looked at one of the slips that came with my DH drycleaning and it has this number on it 2859273 and 2850653 I only ever call my delivery guy direct on his mobile number so have never had any reason to call the office number but those are the numbers listed as the office numbers on their paperwork. I know what you mean as you get to know the delivery guys. Hope all works out OK for you. They are the 2 numbers on this piece of paper, but there is also: Main contact: 04 286 3122 Karama Branch: 04 336 4158 and then a lot of numbers which seem to not quite be Dubai Laundry, but maybe affiliated with, but I'm guessing that they won't be able to help in this case. There is also a mobile number on it, but we aren't in the Springs (out at Sports City), do you think it would be the same person who came out here as comes to you? Thanks pilotprincess, please could I have the mobile number or if there is a branch in the marina? edited by Simpsons on 14/01/2011

Sorry for hijacking but what makes you decide a nursery is good? What do you look at when you visit one? And also, do you make surprise visits or do you announce you are passing by and would like a tour. Come with me!! and oh Surprise visits all the way:))) I think the first and main priority is safety, I looked at alot, maybe 10. I did some pre arranged visits and some where I just stopped on the off chance. You need to look at a large cross section to get a good idea and feel. Ask plenty of questions about routines, activities, schedule, policies and procedures - first aid etc... qualifications.

Did you try a cream called something like Diaktart, that isn't the correct name but it is similar, sorry I can't remember exactly, it is a green and white tube and about 10 ish dhs, it works wonders! You have to buy it from over the counter, the pharmacist would know.

I have been looking at nurseries in and around umm sequim and I am finding that all the staff are predominantly filipinas. I really want to send my child somewhere with British (qualified and speaking) teachers, can anyone recommend somewhere really good, getting tired of looking! Thanks. plenty in the uk Thanks Sue but I live in Dubai. so why are you expecting only British staff ?? Oh dear, I think you didn't read my post correctly or maybe you are just looking for an argument, try a different thread maybe? Yes I live in Dubai and the majority of staff are from the phillipines with poor English at a time when I am trying to get my child to learn to speak clear English. Is that ok for you Sue or do you still not understand Sue? edited by Simpsons on 03/01/2011

Blossom Nursery in Um Sequim has western teachers & filipino assistants. Thanks, I did look at this one but I didn't see many western teachers, maybe I went to the wrong branch?
