Would like to clear something up from a previous posting from MrsDubzy and guinness, yes there have been articles written regarding Pete Burns and the lawsuit that was brought against Dr. Maurizio Viel, however Pete Burns has admitted in an article i recently read in Hello Magazine ( UK) only weeks ago, that he did in fact LIE when he said the error was Dr. Maurizio's, he now admits what Dr. Maurizio had said all along, that it was the manufacturers error.... and guess who Pete Burns is suing now?? Do you think he could hve been doing this for the money???? Regarding the issue as to why Dr's come to Dubai... i guess for the same reasons we are all here, the difference being Dr. Maurizio and his brother Dr. Roberto have a thriving practice in Harley Street, i don't see anything wrong in wishing to expand their business. They practice in Dubai Healthcare City so you know they are held to a higher standard than any Dr's practicing in Dubai as the licensing rules are so much stricter there. I have been going to Dr. Maurizio for over 2 1/2 years now, and have sent numerous friends and we have always been delighted with the results, in fact i don't even feel a thing when the Dr is injecting me. Thats the difference between going to someone who is experienced and someone who simply 'claims' to be experienced, think about it ladies at the end of the day you get what you pay for and remember it is your face we are talking about.... i don't think the gamble is worth the risk do you?

I had a ring copied in Liali Jewelers in Jumeirah Center.. close to Godiva. I agree with the earlier post most shops will do it and the gold souk will be cheaper but at the end of the day you pay for what you get and i know that you can wear whatever they make as the workmanship is excellent at Liali.

Hi Ladies, Just wanted to share something i have just bought for my bunions, they are called Yogatoes have been wearing them for 10 mins and my feet feel fabulous!!!! They look a little bit like the toe separators you wear when having a pedicure, but these are made out of gel. Apparantly they help hammer toes, aching feet, people who are standing all day long or have their feet sqeezed into shoes. Dr. Oz on TV calls Yogatoes ' Bunion Busters' You are supposed to wear them for 10 mins a day and build up to an hour... i'm all for it if it makes them feel this good. Bought them from California Chiropractic and Sports Medicine Center in Healthcare City.

Babylons i think the term you are looking for is Chiropodist.. however with your injuries i think you may require an acutal sports medicine Dr who can take a look before you resume any kind of sports activity. I would reccomend Dr. Charles Jones in Healthcare City. As well as being a Chiropractor he is also a qualified Dr of Sports Medicine, treating both professional and amateur sportsmen and women. I have discovered there are many Dr's here who treat patients for sports related injuries without being qualified in the field of Sports Meidicine. I totally agree with Dubaistar, we have just bought in AR I would never have considered VH it's in the middle of a building site. The prices may be lower but HOA fees are higher and for what? I also think EMAAR have a safer track record and AR is a completed community.

We own a business and have been informed that the employee must exit through the airport upon cancellation as we need to be able to provide the stamp and paper from immigration to show they have exited the country. Previously we provided the exit stamp in the passport that is no longer accepted. Once you return you can then make the 30 day visa runs

If you are living directly under the flight path it can be quite noisy...even living in the Mirdiff area/ Silicon Oasis your still going to be around 20 mins from the beach. I have enclosed the email address of our Realtor he helps clients with buying or renting, has a wealth of experience, is very pleasant and will get back to you when he says he will unlike many others! He will be happy to drive you around to see which is the best area for the commute and schooling. Wait until you get here, see the areas and see how you feel... I renewed my card last week as it had expired as I now have a new passport number and residence visa. I wnt to the main post office in Karama, took the expired ID Card, passport and it couldn't have been easier. One dept to fill out a page of paperwork, that is taken for typing, you pay the fee, ( dependent upon the lenghth of your visa either 2 or 3 years) go to another department where they either require fingerprints and photo if it's a first time application or they will simply send you an SMS if its a renewal telling you when the card can be collected and from where. I heard on the radio today that there is a discount in the fees for children this month only. It was very simple no queues if you are there early.

Dr John Bouillon he has a great bedside manner and is an excellent surgeon, he was wonderful when i had a problem with my elbow. I commented last week on the Keratin treatment i have had done with Maria Dowling and there were no problems. I have had it done 3 times now, but you MUST use the shampoo and conditioner for Keratin treatment do nott use your normal shampoo conditioner as it contains products that will affect the keratin treatment. Her prices start at 500 AED.

I would highly recommend Dr. Charles Jones and his amazing staff at California Chiropractic and Sports Medicine center, poor posture, overuse of computers etc can all lead to a bad neck/back. I went to see him recently as i was grinding my teeth at night and my TMJ was so tight it was causing headaches... he took care of it in 15 mins... result no more headaches. He advised i see my dentist to be fitted for a mouth guard to wear at night as i may gringing my teeth in my sleep. There is an wonderful therapist there who carries out sports massage called Suzanne she used to work with the Portugeuse national football team and has the most amazing hands. I would certainly recommend Cyprus, we were there a few weeks ago, the weather is perfect, there are cultural things to see, or you can just chill by the pool or on the beach or play golf at some wonderful golf courses- Aphrodite Hills and Nick Faldo's new course. I love the Maldives also but if you want to do more than water sports and a beach i would go to Cyprus around the Paphos area.

I have had the Keratin treatment about 5 times now, and my hair looks fabulous afterwards, its perfect for high humidity weather as it keeps your hair wonderfully sleek, and contrary to reports does not damage the hair. I have always gone to Maria Dowling 04 3454225, and it costs nowhere near 2,000 AED, it depends upon the length, if your hair is very curly etc there are different forms of Keratin treatment. Prices usually start around 500 AED. Give them a call and they will provide you with more information... :)

The best thing is to set up a Shop and Ship account with Aramex - it costs around $35 to set up, you receive a US and UK postal address, the items you buy are then posted to this address so you only pay local postal rates then delivered directly to your door in Dubai... so worth it, then you can buy everything online.

if you google iphone in dubai you will get both Du and Etisalats sites where they give you details of their iphone packages.. there are various options. Sharaf DG are selling an iphone for 2,500 about the same as buying an unlocked phone in the States
