Repton. Oh ok so the teachers I know that work there must have the wrong information. One of my friends just signed a contract there and this is what she was told if she didn't want to take the allowance. edited by starsouthern on 18/01/2011

It depends on the school that the person is teaching in and if they are single, married or have kids. GEMS for their elite schools have housing in JLT, Greens, Barsha and Springs. They also have housing in Discovery Gardens. Other schools offer a allowance or school housing. Repton have apartments in Silicone Oasis and Al Wahda (sp). DESC have apartments in Silicone Oasis and villas in Mirdiff. It really depends on school and family situation. edited by starsouthern on 18/01/2011 Your information is out of date and not accurate for one school here. Oh really which one? edited by Jumeriah Jane on 18/01/2011

Try giving arenco a call they had villas in those areas for that budget. My friends moved into a lovely 4 bed off al wasl for 130k found on dubizzle. It's really worth looking and negotiating.

Get all your marriage, birth and qualification certificates attested before leaving OZ. It's much less of a hassle if it's all done before landing here. Dogs are allowed in the area that Jumeirah IB school is in. Where dogs are not allowed is Jumeirah Beach Residence this is on the other end of Dubai to where the school is. Greenfields is in the Green Community which is a different area to the Greens. edited by starsouthern on 13/01/2011

My friend is not Muslim her DH is but they don't want the kids to do Islamic studies at school so they put Christian on all forms. i know families that the father is from iran and the mother welsh they had to do islamic studies unfortunately thats the way it is here unless you change their name. My friend's DH is from Suadi, all the kids have his last name and they've never had to do Islamic studies as on the form they say Christian, the kids do have British Passports though so that might help.

I'm having my third baby and am seeing Dr Luthra, although she is not cuddly, she always apologises if she is late and has always answered all my questions, without making me feel like an idiot. Our third baby was not planned and when I went in it was a bit of a shock to be told that I was expecting again. I was crying and a bit of a mess and thought that she handled the situation very well, and comforted me the best she could as a complete stranger. I have to say that I was quite nervous about seeing her as I read on here that people were not happy with her. However after reading old post etc realised that she hadn't put anyone in danger and because friends of mine had had such good experiences with her I thought I'd go and see her anyway. I'm really happy with her so far, I don't find her abrupt or rude and the more I see her the friendlier she is each time. Each persons experience is different, and without meeting her I think it's unfair to strike her off your list.

total abstinence is 100% effective. Hysterectomies also are. Vasectomies pretty much are, but there are cases where it's failed. Pills aren't "really dangerous", by the way... and don't cause breast cancer. They do, just like any other medicament, come with a set of warnings and potential side effects, but if you have certain conditions, your doctor will advise you not to take them (such as high blood pressure, etc...) Short of that, there's the coil, which is inserted into your uterus... or the male pill/ injection, but getting a bloke to take it is another kettle of fish. My husbands best friend just called us to tell us that after baby no 3 1 year ago wife had the coil inserted as they wanted no more kids. She's now 12 weeks pregnant with twins! I nearly died as I was on the pill and now expecting baby no 3 so hubby defo has to have it chopped or stay away from me! edited by starsouthern on 08/01/2011

Whatever you do, don't buy the quinny buzz 3 wheeler. the worst stroller ever made. its heavy and doesn't turn properly and you keep on kicking the buzz box while walking. Doesn't even come with a storage basket. You can buy a shopping net to attach under the quinny for 99dhs at toys r us. Also try to put some oil near the tyres (or better, let the shop do this for you), works well. I hated my buzz too, found it really difficult to drive around. Got my finger trapped in it too with the atomatic release thing. I only liked the fact that I could clip my carseat on to it but really not worth all that money. Ended up selling it on dubizzle and buying a McLaren.

Check whether all the bottles are the same shape. I've just looked at all mine and they're all different shapes some are wider and shorter and some are taller and thinner yet they're all 9oz ones.

My son is seven years old. I've travelled around the world with him since he was new born and have never been asked for any documentation other than his passport. DH and I come from different countries, DS and I hold same passport DH is sponsor. I always found it strange as my son and I have completely different names, he's blonde blue eyed and I'm not. DS also goes overseas with his gran once a year and she's never been asked for anything either. I just asummed that all the info needed was on the magnetic strip that's why there's never been any questions. However doesn't hurt to have the letter in your bag just incase.
