Miss Scruffy is lonely, sad and in desperate need of space. She has been able to make foreys into the upstairs of the house and loves it, problem is, the other animals scare her as she does not have enough time with them around. This would change quickly if she had the whole house to explore and time to make friends. She is becoming much more ready to be picked up and cuddled now. She will wind around my legs and stop, then I know she is asking to be cuddled :). She needs another foster home or permanent home where she has room to grow, right now it is too confining for her. If you have an apt and are looking for a little thing to keep you company, who is very clean, does not make noise unless she is hungary. Over the kitten stage and wants so much to be loved, please consider Miss Scruffy....I know she is not the most beautiful girl, does not have fluffy fur, is not pedigree or exotic but, she has a lovely heart that can compete with the best.

you can get body makeup :)....not sure where here but it does not melt and is not like the ones you use on your face. Or, you can get #7 at boots pharmacy temporary spray tan. It comes off in the shower so you just put it on for the evening :)

really mothers. Does it really matter why the children have been left in a locked car with the windows cracked, in a shopping Mall, without an adult?.....The Finder waited a good amount of time and should have called the Police/security. Stayed with the children until the driver was found and made sure that driver was reported. Honestly, I would think this is most likely not the 1st time the children have been left. I figure, if you have to leave the children in the car to nip in to get something then you did not plan well :( who knows what could happen to you when you nip in and the kids are alone. edited by SueB on 21/02/2012

I am wondering if you have been friends with this man for 7 years you must already know what he like to some extent. You cannot expect him to be different because you have told him how you feel....he might have been showing you all these years, who he is. You already knew how he felt about you, maybe that is all there is :)...could you talk to him and share your feelings with him when you were just friends? if so, it should not be any different now :)....tell him how you feel without fear of any reprimand.... Give it time, no one will change but maybe he is feeling a whole lot of pressure right now. I would take it slow, relaxed and remember, you are friends :) dont force anything before he is ready, I dont think he forced you to love him?? :)...anyway, just thoughts.

yep, someone left her to fend for herself in a barren car park...no food, water, grass or even sand, only cars...please look at this pictorial to get to know her :) http://tinyurl.com/74ozbdf She is so ready for a home. She is so lonely in the bedroom alone. There must be someone with patience who might have her live with them ? She would be fine in an Apartment, actually, she most likely should never go out as she might run if frightened so an indoor cat she should stay. She would like another cat for company :)...Miss Scruffy will now wind around my ankles at feeding time and let me pick her up for a good long cuddle before eating. It is like she must give herself permission and wants cuddles to be on her terms, for now anyway.

It is a soft opening. It sounds as if they were not even ready for that so,please do them a favour and let them know your dinner was not what you expected. The reason for a soft opening is to iron out the gliches and it sounds as if there was a few...so tell them!! Constructive critisism goes a long way.

Thanks Kylie!! how did you do that? http://tinyurl.com/74ozbdf Kylie is the person who found her :) I have her in my spare room. She was pretty terrified and only now allows me to touch her. She loves to be cuddled though when I can catch her but it was tramatizing in the beginning for her and it will take her awhile to get over her experience. She was/is afraid of hands so some people must have hurt her but she is also getting better. She needs somewhere to go where she can access the whole house/apt where people are around and possibly another cat. This will help her get over the trauma. She cant do this here as my other animals are not so welcoming :(....anyway there you are. The saga of Miss scruffy. edited by SueB on 19/02/2012

the way I figure it is this. if you have to walk through it to get in the house, clean it to help to reduce the sand in the house....it does help. I cannot leave a big pile of sand outside my door. Now on a balcony, leave it.

put a pair of washing up gloves on. Pop the poor thing in a box. Put him/her in a small bathroom that can be washed down. Put some water and a bit of mashed chicken if you have it and a pan with sand from the garden in it. A big towel in a box for him to sleep tonight. So far, no touching and if you prepare it first it will be quick. In the morning call FF and ask for help. They are usually full but who knows. Take it to a vet and ask for help. Chances are they will help but you should expect to pay something. Dont leave the poor thing outside to die a slow death.

Stardust, he goes home once a month for what, maybe 4 or 5 days? it is not like he is on a month on and a month off.....you are still young and it wont be long before your children will be in Uni, can you possibly wait or go home fr short courses? it will be tough on the marriage and absense does not necessarily make the heart grow fonder but when you are both living separate lives.....it could be the beginning of the end, but then, maybe?? A very very tough decision to take the kids from dad...the upgrade you want must be able to be taken in chuncks..ie you go home for 2 or 3 months then come back? p.s. and what about the animals??????

ok, here is what you do. Go the the ATM Machine. have your ripped bills taped lightly and sandwich it between two other bills. Put the bills in the deposit envelope and deposit that money to your account. voila, you have the receipt you deposited the money and they will accept it :)...

go to life pharmacy. They sell cast covers. I bought a leg one for my husband so he could shower and it worked very well but she would not wear it all the time as it will be tights on her upper arm but the answer is yes, there is something to keep the cast dry. The word is 'splash around' I doubt it would work for long periods snorkling but, who knows lol...good luck

I cannot imagine going to a party where the wives sit around and grip and complain about their husbands jobs. Honeslty, in all the years I have been here, that is the last thing I want to do at a gathering :)....my husband has always talked to me about his job, whats going on and we talk about it, I dont need to bi tch to other woman about it. I would rather talk to someone who actually knows whats going on :). My husband is one of the relaxed guys, has always liked his flying jobs and for the most part not much of a complainer about it, so, guess I am one of lucky ones in that respect :)....go gals, if you feel the need to talk about your husbands jobs at parties, you are going to the wrong parties or hanging with the wrong people :)

In reply to Funnyfish: DEC's in EK have not been hired since APPROX 2007 (but will check the sen list). To get hired as a DEC you must already have min 10,000 total time of which at least approx 4000 command in a jet rated 55 tons or greater. FO's hours were extended on EK for whatever reason but it certainly was not for DEC! All DEC's go through the same course as any pilot in EK. If they fail they are gone, . . DEC's are not dangerous and have graduated TO THE EK STANDARD AS ALL PILOTS IN EK DO! NO PREFERENCE..SIMPLE. , With respect to what you wrote...where exactly are you getting your information?????? Hopefully not pprune. 'Even guys who came as DEC the last time EK did this this have said 3/4 years later they only now feel confident on type, with hours under their belts....; (now that is scary.) Honestly, I have been a pilots wife for 35 years and always weigh what I say to make sure what I say is correct. Before you post anything on the internet, you must get your facts straight. edited by SueB on 08/02/2012

Jumeirah Janes pronouce it "b'day" Yikes! Never thought myself the JJ type!! Just how is it pronounced?? (I s'pose I say biday) It is pronounced many ways and all are understandable :)......your are not wrong and no, it is not just JJ's who pronounce it b'day,,, it is many nationalities. If you want to be correct, pronounce it as the french do and that would make the rest of us JJ's I suppose. http://www.forvo.com/word/bidet/ btw, the term JJ is very rarely used now :)

I am so glad you like it!!! it is so relevent to how children are raised today. That parents realize that what goes on during their school years is not ever continued into their working life!!! so, if they have the tools while they are growing up, being an adult with responsibilities will not be such a shock!!! :)

I wonder how our parents managed to feed us with only 2 tv channels back in the day? Or how their parents got them to eat with no tv at all? We ate in the kitchen where there was not a T.V. there were 4 of us. We ate what our mother cooked. There were no choices and if we didnt eat we sat for an hour at the table then it was removed and we gt nothing until the next meal. If we didnt eat at that meal, it was removed and again, nothing until the next meal...we sometimes went to bed hungary :)...we are all alive and healthy with eclectic taste in food most of the time. Our mothers never ran after us to eat. We ate if we were hungary. Our mothers were not too concerned because they knew hungar would win over in the end lol.....so, stop fixating on what your kids eat, then, they might just surprise you if you ignore them, and eat!

When we sit in front of the T.V. and eat, we rarely pay attention to what things taste like. Children concentrate on what is going on on the TV they are not really aware what is being put in their mouth unless it is really awful. Putting on t.v., no matter what is on the t.v. is doing a disservice to the child :(. Of course they eat much better .....it takes time a patience to feed a kiddo lol....and when mothers sit with their children and also eat lunch/dinner, the child is more likely to eat. If they dont eat, they are not hungary. They will eventually be hungary enough to eat unless of course, they have programed you to expect a tantrum everytime food is served :) As all the mums here have said....you are the boss. Letting your kiddo rule mealtimes makes it unpleasant for everyone :(

She said this is a foster cat Kiwi, she did not breed it. Trigg, I am assuming the kittens are eating on their own by now most of the time? if not, get them moving to get off mum. Make an appt in a week or so for a spay as the kittens should be eating on their own except for a snack from mum. Since she is nursing I would highly recommend the keyhole spay rather than the cut as it will be easier for the mother if the kittens still insist on snacking...they will quickly stop though as the taste is different and she will smell different. Make sure she does not get out! She will look for her kittens for a few days and you might find waiting a bit to rehome the last one until she has healed from her surgery. I have found separating the mom and kittens for a short time every day helps with the separation for both...mum gets cuddle time and the kittens get some time without her...it can be more than once a day but not for long periods all at once. Anyway, good luck :)

I ALWAYS comment - even if it's to tug at my seatbelt - for the amount of times I've done it at least 2 have buckled their child immediately - for the others I couldn't leave without saying something - I often direct my comments at the child - telling them to Buckle Up - I've had parents thank me as ''they won't listen to me'' It's hard but for every 10 that ignore me there may be just 1 that does something and Buckles Up - that's what makes it worthwhile. https://www.facebook.com/BuckleUpInTheBack You are to be commended Red :) you are one of many who actually has put their money where their mouth is and walk the talk in regards to child car restraints....you picked a good battle :)

MAC had a promotion on recently where it was 4 brushes for 369AED I am slightly skeptical that you can purchase them for 219AED There are so many fakes around so be aware :-) I did search up thier website and they do have fake MAC products pictured on it including fake makeup brushes. They are probably saying that the 88 palatte is MAC because they have similar on the website. I would be very certain the brushes in the Groupon are fake. I read the ad and nowhere does it say that the eye shadow is MAC. How do you know the pictures are fake? I must have 8 fake Mac brushes I bought 3 years ago because they are the same as pictured, and..I bought them at MAC.....not everything is fake :)
