As PP have said, it really will mess up your hormones. Why not try an alternate method, like Natural Family Planning?

Hehe, im actually have the same problem right now, but complete opposite relocation problems!! Here is my story in a nut-shell! We moved to ME 2 years ago and DH and I are ready to move on, back to the UK. However MIL and FIL are NOT happy about this! They all want us to stay, settle down, live life here, blah blah blah (nothing nice to say about us moving really) Well here is what i have to say to them : TOO BAD!!!! If DH and I want to move, then we move!! It would be different if we were forcing are MIL/FIL to come with us, but we are not! We are 2 grown people and as much as i care about them, it is DH and I who have to live this life together day to day and we will do it where we want! :) Best of luck to you!

Hello, My MIL (from Dubai) just relocated her Maid from Dubai over to England (where she has a young daughter living that needs the help!) It was a very good thing, as the Maid is already well trusted lady (really a part of the family). Best of luck! edited to add: I will also be taking my live-in maid with me, when i relocate to the UK in an year! :) edited by tdale on 30/06/2011

Aramex! I usually ship to my armaex account in the US, then have things sent over from there. However, it is good to compare the pricing, as sometimes you are best to just ship directly from Amazon to here! Hope that helps!

Best thing to do is get a GP sort it out for you with the freeze dry thing. If it doesn't go the first time round, go for a repeat treatment the second it appears. Should be sorted then. yes, this is what my Brother had to do! Good luck!

For those on the Palm, either in a villa or apartment, do you own or rent? edited by Crystil on 27/06/2011 "Normal" for these villas perhaps, but not [u'>normal[/u'> surely?! I've never been in a Palm villa...are they massive? . Suze63 got it right, they are pretty big 6 bedroom houses (then a maid and drivers room) plus lots of windows, swimming pool, and a garden to water AND a multiplication factor on the DEWA bill for consumption... We are only 2 people in the house, but i DO need the a/c on at least half the day to stay comfortable. Crazy house... cant wait to move! (counting the days...)

You'll need all her paperwork in order. If not, then try and find a foster home here and send for her later. You know animals are more resiliant than many people give them credit for, most travel extremely well without any major issues. Reuniting with her family, is definitely better than trying to find a new one, which at this short notice and being the time of year when most pets are abandoned is going to be a mission - sorry, just being realistic. well said! Best of luck to you Zena! Enjoy your new home!!

For those on the Palm, either in a villa or apartment, do you own or rent? edited by Crystil on 27/06/2011 I own my signature villa, and i have to pay all my own bills (up to 8000dhms each summer month) company pays nothing.... Also, we have checked with DEWA both in person at their office, over the phone, etc... and all of them say that what we pay is "normal" i also have asked all my neighbors here on the Palm, and they too pay upwards of 8000 per summer month! edited by tdale on 28/06/2011

No Problem :D And the people at British Airways are AMAZING to send pets with, they really helped me move all the way here with my 2 dogs, stress free!! if you can believe it!! Ppl in Canada are amazing with dogs (unlike Dubai, sadly) there you will find the perfect cold weather for an Akita mix (i own 2 husky here in dubai... poor things). There are Akita breeders/ German Shepard breeders and best of all NO KILL animal shelters!!! (you leave an Akita mix here, who is to say how long the poor thing will last?) edited by tdale on 27/06/2011

I rescued one husky here in Dubai (his name was Jassas, not sure if you remember him from a year back in the newspaper) Well anyway, ALL the vets said he would never walk properly/ use his back leg (which had been broken in 3 places along with his hip) but now a year on, he runs faster then my other 2 dogs! I take him swimming (it helps a TON) and walks everyday! If you do not have a swimming pool, try places like DogWalk or Energetic Panacea! The people at those places are great :) Let me know if you need more info!! Best of luck!!

Why dont you just send her right to Canada? There are TONS of shelters and breeders that would be more then happy to watch your dog there (i know as i have lived 25+ years of my life in Canada) :) And the paper work to send her along right away happens fast, with little to no wait time for her to be able to enter the country.

Not sure if other mentioned this, but here it goes: I have a rescue dog and 2 non-rescue. The hardest one to train was the older non-rescue because he figured out quick: 1) if i pee in the house i get attention 2) if i pee in the house i get taken outside again! So, for teaching my stubborn dog, as much as i didnt want to do it, i had to catch him in the act say loudly "NO" and put him in his crate. The crate should be a safe place, but this was my last option as i had already tried everythign else. Sure enough, after 3 time (after 1 year of peeing the house) of putting him in the crate after peeing in the house, he stopped and never had a problem since! However, your dog could just be "unsure" For my rescue dog, i made sure to give him lots of food treats and cuddles, as soon as i saw him doing his business out in the garden like he is supposed to. And yes- the vinegar thing really helps, as someone mentioned :)
