Although the UAE is an Islamic country, other faiths are tolerated here and as a result, there are several places of worship to cater to followers of other religions.
The UAE's embracing standpoint of other religious has further been instilled recently with the announcement that 2019 shall be the "Year of Tolerance". In fact, many churches in Dubai are built on land that has been donated by the country's government.
