If you (like us) spent a good part of your day being hypnotised by gorgeous cake art videos then don’t be hard on yourself — we’re all guilty here.

And TBH we’re not entirely at fault here. One look at those oddly satisfying photos and we’re hooked for hours.

In case you’re done obsessing over marble and geode cakes then welcome the newest masterpiece in town — brushstroke cakes.

Part cake, part objet d’art, these brushstroke cakes are all giving us major colour envy.

These heavenly looking cakes are a work of Moscow-based bakery, Kalabasa. They use chocolate brush strokes on buttercream cakes to create the jagged feathers.

The gifted bakers then decorate the front of the cake with painted chocolate feathers while the rest of it is finished with chocolate splatters and airbrushing techniques.

The result is pure art that you can devour.
