Despite all of this — there’s never enough water in our bodies.
Our mums have been telling us; our docs have been reminding us and we've been trying our best — but drinking 8 or more glasses of water seems like an impossible goal to achieve.
But here's a good news: Staying hydrated has little to do with drinking gallons of water. Hydration is not about how much water you drink BUT how much water you hold.
And surprisingly, the water we DRINK goes right through your system into the long queues at the restroom but the water we EAT in the form of (hydrating fruits and veggies) stays in our bodies longer.
Why? Because it’s trapped in the structure of these foods.
This cellular water stays in our bodies with a multitude of additional benefits such as antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and fibre agents. Roughly 20% of our daily H2O intake comes from solid foods, especially fruits and vegetables.
