When you live in a world in which wine, fries, and cheese exist, staying healthy is not easy.
We talked to 6 women to find out what's the one thing they do to keep the weight off. Here's what they had to say.
I’m quite lazy when it comes to healthy eating; I’ve never denied myself something I enjoy – but I do eat in moderation, and watch my portion sizes. I have three meals a day, I eat slowly and I never, ever snack. Plus, I have zero sugar in my coffee now.
Coconut oil in everything! Smells vile but it's a much better alternative to vegetable and seed oils. Also, its a medium triglyceride oil so it's a good fat.
Before a meal, I have a massive glass of water, and my stomach gets half full, so then I only end up eating half the quantity of what I would have had otherwise. Which means, less calories, more hydration and less bloating. Win, win, win!
I choose to snack smartly. Replace your unhealthy snacks with protein and healthy fats like edamame or avocados, and you will see your weight drop like dominoes!
I make sure to have my last meal at least two hours before bed. I also try to eat small meals every 2-3 hours as opposed to having 3 big meals.
I drink a glass of hot water with a slice of lemon in it every morning - it gets the metabolism going!
