BTS McDonald's meal in the UAE

The fast-food giant began its celebrity meals in 1992 with Michael Jordan’s 'McJordan' burger.

South Korean superstars BTS have partnered with McDonald’s to launch the band’s favourite order from Tuesday, June 1 in the UAE.

The meal will be available in at least 40 countries worldwide, kickstarting on May 26 in the US. The meal will include 10 pieces of chicken McNuggets, medium fries, medium drink, and sweet chili and cajun dipping sauces as inspired by South Korea McDonald's recipes.

McDonald's announced the BTS meal partnership on Twitter, using French fries to form the band's iconic logo.

"The band has great memories with McDonald’s. We’re excited about this collaboration and can’t wait to share the BTS Meal with the world," said Big Hit Music, label of BTS.

The BTS collab is the latest of the fast-food chain's Famous Orders program, which recently featured singer J Balvin and rapper Travis Scott in the past.

The Travis Scott Meal was the rapper's spin on the classic Quarter Pounder burger, and included medium-sized fries, BBQ sauce, a soft drink, and merchandise line (fingers crossed that UAE fans will be getting BTS merchandise with their McDonald's order, too!) The collaboration was so popular in the US that it led to a shortage in key ingredients at several McDonald's outlets due to overwhelming demand.

BTS fans, also known as the 'BTS Army', were thrilled about the news. And UAE fans, who have been waiting for the band to return to the country since their last UAE performance in 2016, were no exception.

In 2019, BTS became the third musical act in 50 years to have three albums rank number one on the Billboard Top 10 charts in less than a year.

Since 2013, BTS has topped music charts and brought people together from all over the world through their music and positive messages.

Their first English-language song, 'Dynamite', broke two world records when its music video became the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, as well as the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.

The group is comprised of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
