We can't deny - there ain't no wedding like a desi wedding.
Desi weddings are usually a 3-day affair with 6-7 parties/ceremonies (no kidding), most of which include dancing into the wee hours of the morning. And the most interesting thing is that the same songs are played at all of these events. Some of these songs, however, are SO overplayed that the crowd can't help but get into a robotic routine of doing the moves they did 18 times before during the 3 weddings they attended in the past 4 months.
Someone had to speak up and end this catastrophe. So, we bring you 10 songs that need to be banned from desi weddings, STAT.
10. Dilli Wali Girlfriend
Actually, this should be clubbed with Badtameez Dil and Balam Pichkari.
9. Sooraj Dooba Hai
Ask me for anything...I can give you everything. Umm, how about you go far, far away?
8. Subah Hone Na De
It was difficult to pick between this song and Make Some Noise For The Desi Boyz, but this one won because of the oh...oh..oh.
7. Nacho Saare G Phaad Ke
G Phaad Ke? We can't be the only ones who get disturbing visuals with those lyrics.
6. Babydoll
All the uncles and aunties love this one.
5. Ishq Tera Tadpave
Two things happen when this song is played: the dj mutes the "oh ho ho ho" part and then it's lori time...for the millionth time.
4. Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai
Khatam kab hogi?
3. London Thumakda
If someone could explain why the bride is being compared to the Big Ben, that would be great. Thanks, bye.
2. Galla Goodiyaan
Hello...Hello...yeah, please stop this now.
1. Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan
And without a doubt, the most annoying wedding song ever - Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan.
