It's all a bit too familiar. You come home after a long day of work to see clothes scattered on the floor, dishes in the sink and an overwhelming feeling of stress when you see the clutter.
Here are six simple changes you can make to de-stress your home and feel more relaxed everytime you walk in the door.
Incorporate more plants
Plants release oxygen and moisture in the air which will immediately boost your mood and help you breathe better.

Allow natural light
Open your space and your mind by allowing natural light into your home. A poorly lit space can impact you negatively and you may not even realise it!

Get rid of clutter
Just looking at the cluttered room below is making us feel dizzy. Remember, a cluttered space = a cluttered mind.

Spring clean every 3 months
Make it a point to get rid (or donate) things you don't need every 3 months. Time flies and before you know it all kinds of junk from years ago is still in your home - taking up space and causing additional stress.
Keep only what you need.

Create a chill zone
Transform a corner of your room or an entire room itself into a chill zone where you can relax, hang out, read and just be. Make sure to lay off electronics.
Don't underestimate the power of unwinding!

Make your bed everyday
It may sound nuts, but making your bed can impact your mood positively. No matter how clean a room is, if the bed is a mess, the whole room looks messy.
