Your bedroom is your sanctuary, a place where you lie down at the end of the day and let your worries drift away. But more often than not, we enter our bedrooms only to find clothes strewn around, piles of books and stuff that actually belongs to the living room. Here’s how to do a quick clean-up of your bedroom and get your bedroom mojo back.
1. Grab all dirty clothes and put them in a hamper
Just grab all of the dirty, smelly clothes you see and place them in the hamper. Since you're in a hurry, don't worry about unrolling socks, and pulling shirts right side out. That’s for later when you do your laundry.

2. Grab all clean clothes and refold or re-hang
First dump all the clean clothes on the bed, then quickly fold them or get them on hangers. Now place them in one section of your closet and when you have time later on you can arrange them neatly or take them away for ironing.
3. Pick up all the misplaced items on the floor or bed
If you find things that belong in another room, collect and put them in a basket, box, or bag. Just put them all in one location for now.
4. Grab all trash and put in the trash can
The key is speed and not accuracy. Don’t think too much if some old magazines need to be stored. Save the major trash sweep for when you have more time.
5. Sweep and mop or vacuum
Don't move furniture to sweep or vacuum. Just do a quick run through.

6. Make the bed
Making the bed changes the look of a room instantly. It makes a room more inviting and less untidy. So even if it is early morning, take some time to tidy up your bed, it will be well worth it when you return home in the evening!
