What better way to celebrate the season than to throw a garden party? Even if you have limited outdoor space you can still host a fun garden party. With a little bit of preparation, you can make your party stress free and fun. Follow these simple tips, and you’re sure to have a fabulous garden party, no matter the size of your space.

Let the table take centre stage

Put together a gorgeous table setting with bouquets of flowers and nature-inspired centrepieces. Place a table runner across the table for a touch of elegance. Fresh linen, colourful tablecloths and napkins are also a must. You can opt for gorgeous patterned paper party plates that don’t cost a fortune.

Opt for finger food

Ditch the elaborate menu and make your food finger-friendly. Finger foods and hors d'oeuvres not only give guests the opportunity to mingle freely but also mean there’s less of a chance for awkward spills. Try flavourful kebabs, dainty cucumber sandwiches, devilled eggs, empanadas, sliders and cheese plates.

Dress up your garden

Any garden can be dramatically transformed with some bunting or paper chains, candlelights and fresh flowers. Put together a casual backyard get-together by throwing a couple of pillows on a picnic mat, cover tables with brightly coloured flowers and matching plates and cups. If the party has a theme then just make sure to get the props from novelty stores like Party Centre in Garhoud.

Set the vibe with music

Music is absolutely essential to setting the ambience and mood for a garden get-together. Kick it old school with a portable record player and records from the 60s, 70s and 80s and turn it into a dance party. Or pull out the guitar and turn your party into a mellow jam-session.

Let there be light

If you plan to entertain way past sunset, think of some creative lighting ideas to create a party vibe. Battery-operated lanterns or outdoor string lights are super affordable and can be a great way to inject some colour and texture to your outdoor décor. Or simply shine a torch on a revolving mirror ball for a groovy disco effect!
