This Grumpy Cat Has A Room Better Than Yours

All hail Lord Descartes - the most royal cat to ever exist. He is a gentleman and a scholar. However, looking at common folk all day long from his window-side perch in California made Descartes rather grumpy.

And so, in honour of National Cat Day (October 29), designer Ashley Bussell(for interior design firm Laurel & Wolf) took it upon herself to design a happy room for Descartes. She selected luxe materials like velvet, gold and Lucite, backed by palm wallpaper reminiscent of his favourite Beverly Hills haunts. Mouse taxidermy lit by a golden Sputnik chandelier remind all visitors who’s boss. And his pretty paws get the royal treatment with a high-pile Moroccan-inspired rug.

Descartes also has his books and reading lamp right by him, in addition to a pillow that reads "Pretty On Fleek", naturally.
