In 2016, an Hermes Birkin became the most expensive bag bought at an auction for $300,000. In 2017, another Hermes Birkin bag has smashed that record.

At an auction recently held by Christie's in Hong Kong, a buyer who chose to remain anonymous bought the Himalaya Birkin bag for a whopping $380,000. Created in 2014, the bag is made of matte crocodile skin, with handles encrusted with 205 diamonds and 18-karat gold buckles.
